I live in California also and have a loan with Unitedcashloans. I can tell you that they have no license in California or any other state. They have a desist and refrain order to stop payday lending in California since 2006. Your contract should be null and void. Usfastcash also has a desist and refrain order. Another ipdl i had also had a desist and refrain order and got that one marked null and void. I am still messing with unitedcashloans they have been the hardest.

Unitedcashloans are a huge pain in the butt. I had one with them and they are rude and apparently noone communicates in their company. When I called the first time I spoke to someone about the possibility of a payment arrangement and was told that arrangements were out of the question. I legitimately owed them money but was not able to pay. I FINALLY was able to sort things out after I closed my checking account. I spent weeks sending emails and NONE were answered until I closed my account. The first call I got was at work and that was to obtain new banking information to "correct my account." As if...Eventually, after many calls, I was able to settle out for just a little over what the legal amount was. I'm not proud, but it was worth it to me to get them off of my back. If they are not supposed to lend in your state, I would send them one red cent. There is nothing they can do to you, especially since they have a desist and refrain order against them. Good luck.

There are several companies that members of the community have used to deal with their PDL's. You can research them here and decide which one would best meet your needs. And if any of them harass you, I would go straight to the Dept of Corporations and the California Attorney General, both of which are becoming agressive in pursuing on line PDL's. Good luck!
