Beware. I guess creditors interchange is really feeling their pockets getting lighter because now they are calling people and claiming they are either MBNA Arbitration Lawyers or from the Loss Prevention Department of a debt settlement Company.

They tell the caller that MBNA or Bank of America does not settle with anyone and that you need to call a girl named "Tiffany" at creditors interchange.

This is not only violative of fdcpa, but is also interstate fraud in violation of 18 U.S.C. we have turned over all cases to the New York Attorney General and the FBI.

Fred J Hanna idiots are referring to themselves as Bank of Anerica lawyers as well.

Good for you andreaRC! Every time someone hits them where it matters most to them (the pocketbook) it sends a message that more and more people are becoming savvy in regards to collection laws and they had better tread carefully! It is too bad many of these bottom feeders have so much money they rarely blink an eye, but the more people who do it, the more it will add up and eventually even they will start to feel it.

You go girl!

thank you, i felt really good about it too! now NES is next on my list for threatening my husband.......and they are 10 x worse then Creditors Interchange. really....i have no problem paying them if they just go through my settlement company. they should really stop screwing themselves over.
ive made a couple of posts asking about NES and if i should give them my home phone # so that i can record them and have hard proof against them, yada yada yada, so that i can proceed with my lawyer in the case.

i feels good to sock it to them!

If you feel comfortable enough and know your rights then by all means let them call you and record them (make sure you can record them without them knowing it, or make sure you tell them "this call is being recorded, if you object, hang up now, by staying on the line you are agreeing to this recording.")

I love to talk to these people because I can record without them knowing and I love to play dumb consumer and keep feeding them the rope to hang themselves with, then cheerfully start listing all the violations they made in that phone call alone, and then go into any other violations they have wracked up..I especially like giving them a dollar amount I can know sue them for, then thank them for providing me with the taped evidence of their illegal activities.

One time I even asked a CA what her name was, because once I won the lawsuit I would send her a little something something to tide her over while she goes and looks for a better job.

Frederick J. Hanna and all his kind are a bunch of sleazy dirtbags and should be stopped by any means necessary. Please call your state representatives and demand that the tactics being used by these snakes become grounds for disbarment. These sleazebags also have the nerve to hold symposiums and conventions. Please tell all to boycott any hotels, convention centers auditoriums or gutters who host these shark conventions. People should also turn the tables on these idiots. Call their neighbors, associations, clubs whereever they attend functions at and thell them what sleazebags they are associating with.

I recently won a lawsuit against CI as well. They paid the maximum penalty. What happens to the debt? Is it just sold to someone else?
