Sometimes it takes long to hear a reply from the loan places. You have done the right thing by involving your state attorney general and the BBB in the process. You should insist them to give you the results of the investigations with the companies.
How much have you paid on each pdl account? Have your reviewed it with your state laws and know the permissible charges

Have you gone to the AG in the states where the PDLs are located? Also file with the FTC and the Florida Division of Financial Services at www.fldfs.com. They are the ones who oversee the PDLs in Florida. They want you to file a complaint by mail. The law was upheld in the supreme court in Florida years ago when a woman named Wendy Betts sued some PDLs for violation of the States Usury Laws and won. Refer SJM to the case of Wendy Betts v. Fast Funding if they are telling you they don't have to go by Florida laws. I detest that logic. If someone sells you a controlled dangerous substance that is legal in another state and ships it to you in Florida. They are breaking the law in Florida where the substance is illegal. I fail to see the difference.

I know that the AG office will respond that they received your complaint. What the time limit is on what goes on after that, I don't know. I do know that it does take time with them. The BBB usually contacts the company pretty quick and if the company responds to them quick, you get a reply quick. However, the company is allowed a certain time amount to respond to the complaint. I have found that it varies from state to state. One state BBB gives like 14 days for the company to respond. One state BBB told me today the company gets 30 days to respond. So it does take some time. In the meantime, do what frogpatch suggested. Also file with your Florida Department of Finance. They do take note of all these complaints. Also, if you have any questions regarding pdl's and the legal mumbo jumbo that goes along with it, look on the site and see if there is a contact that you can email and ask questions. I've done that with my DFI in my state and I've gotten responses via email the very same day with answers to my questions. They will tell you exactly what the law permits. So, do what Frogpatch says while you're waiting. File complaints with the Florida DFI.

I heard from my DFI the day after each time I emailed him. BBB will email you when they get a response. After 30 days they will close the complaint if they have not heard anything from the company. I just got an email like that from them today. I have been emailing my ipdls off and on for over a month now and have only gotten a few responses. So it all does take time...
