My friend have been paying $50 a month for a Doctor bill.Now they sent it to a CA office for collections.They are Allied Collection & Credit Bureau.He talked to a lady and he told her they had made a agreement of $50 month at the DR office she told him that would be fine and this will not show up on his credit report.I thought once something gos to a CA office it gos on your credit report????He is very mad that it got to a CA even though he was paying the bill and that what they have agree too!!!!

Bud no creditor ever has any obligation to report to the bureaus.The only rule is if they report,it must be accurate. I would meet with the doctor personally on this since they honored this payment arrangement.

Your friend should inform the dr office about the call from the CA. Since your friend is already paying to the dr as per the arrangement, the CA should not report any negative item on his file. Ask your friend to review the credit report regularly and if he finds a suspicious item, he should be able to dispute it with the CA asap
