Just found this on the flordia legal website I am so happy :D :D :D :D :D

A copy of the civil complaint can be found online at:

EC doesnt appear to be worried about the charges that have been brought against them. It's like they believe they have not done or are doing nothing wrong. If that is the case, they are about to be rudely awakened...to the tune of at least $150,000, not to mention any other restitution the judge in Florida may order.

I received a call from "Accounts Receivable Technologies" regarding a payday loan that I owed Edollarsdirect.com.....this was news to me, because I had been contacted by Ellis Crosby in July and paid them for that exact loan! I informed the Accounts Receivable Techlologies rep that I paid Ellis Crosby a total of $635 for a $410 loan and have the moneygram receipts to prove it....she said that their company is finding that a lot of these payday loan companies who turned over their collections to Ellis Crosby NEVER RECEIVED THE MONEY THAT WAS SUPPOSEDLY COLLECTED ON THEIR BEHALF BY ELLIS CROSBY! They were very understanding and said that I should fax my receipts to them and they will clear my account. But anyone who is contacted by Ellis Crosby BEWARE....it seems they are pocketing the money they are collecting and NOT paying the payday loan accounts! DON'T PAY THEM A CENT!!!

Western Union should be able to pull this information up for you. They keep all information on file. Usually all you have to do is give them your phone number...the one you used during the payment. Do you remember if you picked up the "red phone" or go up to a counter and speak directly to someone during the Western Union transaction?

Yes. But a money order can't prove who you wrote it out to. You're kind of SOL in a way. You'll have to do some major leg work. You don't even know if the money order was cashed, because you don't have the money order stub.

You don't have anything at all that proves you paid this????

If you remember the date that you bought it, and around what time...perhaps you could talk to the manager at that gas station to give you the 800# to the money order people, and the check number that was used.

Is FedEx your only option? When I said make sure the address is an office...I meant that there is someone in that building. Some companies will use an address at Mail&Stuff, or another fowarding service. FedEx won't be able to deliver and get a signature if there is no one there.

Hello, for some reason I was thinking about the status of Ellis Crosby and called their toll-free number 800-491-8615....it now rings to "United Carrier Networks, Buyers United," which with a quick internet search seems to have something to do with utilities, nothing at all with Ellis Crosby. Also tried their regular number and it was disconnected. Have they finally gone out of business?? Does anyone know the status??? Have they contacted anyone recently?? Blessings, Melissa

Filing for bankruptcy can be done by anyone but the real thing is to qualify for it. The court will be investigating the charges put on Ellis Crosby and then penalize them. If necessary, they will also keep a future check on all their business activities.

Ellis Crosby has to present everything transparently while undergoing legal actions. I am having this feeling that their numbers of harassment calls have largely reduced these days and might be busy preparing themselves to appear in the court. ha..ha..
