During my last semester of college I was forced to quit my job in order to do student teaching. During this time I was forced to heavily rely on my credit card. I was doing good about staying on top of my payments, but with my hectic schedule my payment deadlines would fall by the waist side.

Call the creditors and propose a payment plan. You might be able to convince them to work on your terms after explaining your financial situation. Seeing your willingness to pay back, they will offer you some extensions. Or, you may speak to a debt counselor to negotiate with your creditors on your behalf. He will set up a plan for you.
