Please shed more light about your situation. What is the current status of your account and how much money have you paid to Mezey? Since you hired them to negotiate with your creditors, they must show you the latest status of each account and how the payments were applied.
If they have done nothing on your file as per the agreement, you should hire an attorney in resolving the matter. They will help in getting your money back.
Get a lawyer
I got a lawyer and have filed suit against them. I lost about $5300 to thos idiots. My lawyer is suing them for everything they have.

I'm not sure how it works in each state, but my understanding from my attorney here was a law firms fees are non-refundable. He recommended Mezey instead of my doing a Chapter 13, as it would have cost me more and taken longer, but if I did do the bankruptcy even his fees were due upfront.
Also, my creditors were pretty slick in offering me deals but only after I hired Mezey. They each wanted to get paid first. So, I stopped talking to them. I thought about quiting the program and doing it myself, now that the banks were going to give me deals, but I'm still a bit gun shy and would rather have a pro handle it, and would not expect a refund. I wouldn't do my own appendectomy either!
I'm glad I'm following through with my decision and finally getting out of this mess that I got myself in.
Using Mezey & Associates
I am using Mezey and Associates and they have been, so far pretty good. It's in your agreement, that they could take as long as 8 months before they can negotiate a settlement from the credit card companies. My interest rates were sky high, and this will help me get out of debt within 32 payments with a reduction in my balance by at least $8,000. I can't complain.

In response to the previous post from DonG. Do you work for Mezey? They are swindlers. Yes I realize it is all our faults for running up our debts, but Mezey & Associates are down right thieves!!! They steal people's money under false pretenses and you know that!!! If Mezey & Associates had any decency what so ever they would turn themselves in to the FTC or refund everyones money.
RUN RUN RUN from these people.
My husband and I fell for "Paula's" slick pitch. She made us believe that creditors were more than willing to work with their company because of their long history of negotiating debt for clients. We were told that letters would go out to each creditor within 24 hours of our first payment, when in actuality it was nearly 2 months before ANY creditor received notification from them, in the form of Power of Attorney letters. We were NOT told that the full amount of the first 3 payments would go directly to cover their fees, and that the next 10 payments would be pro-rated, meaning that a larger portion of those payments went to them instead of our escrow account. We were told we would have on-line access to our account balance, which has not yet happened, although "They are working diligently" to get that system up and running. WE were told they would deal with creditors, yet every time we get a letter from the creditor, Mezey tells us to call them and tell them to contact Mezey..and most of the creditors will not comply, one even told me that Mezey does NOT answer their "special" creditor phone number. Any time we contact them regarding any activity on accounts, their response is "This is an accrual process, we do not talk with them (the creditor) until you have enough funds accumulated to negotiate." The welcome packet information says that in the beginning of the "Program" they are working hard to get in contact with creditors and monitor action on accounts. This is absolutely untrue. We were trying to avoid bankruptcy at any cost, and guess what, it DID cost us, and we now have an appointment to see a bankruptcy attorney. "Paula" said that 2 of our smaller accounts would be gone in 6 months, what she didn't say was that the larger accounts would not wait, and instead bring suit against you to garnish your wages. By the way, those 2 smaller accounts are nowhere near being gone, but our money sure is. When I phoned Paula to question some of these matters, her once very congenial attitude turned to one of antagonism, her response was, "If you don't like the program, get out." Guess what, we are, and if we can recover any funds we will, and if not, then at least we can try to warn other people not to fall for Mezey, or Campos Chartered Law Firm, or LegalDebt Services, or whatever name they have switched to now. I am NOT a competitor, I am NOT with Consumer credit counseling, I am NOT a collector posting bad press against this company. These are all the responses I got from Paula when I questioned the information I found on this page. I AM A REAL LIVE PERSON WHO GOT TAKEN FOR A RIDE AND A LOT OF MONEY!!!! She also said that in 3 years when this was all over, my husband and I would look back and wonder why were the least bit apprehensive, and maybe even chuckle. We are NOT laughing, and we are not wondering at alol, because we KNOW they are crooks. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, run from them.
