Young people are prone to loans. A recent study has brought it under the spotlight that near about 75% independent students of $20,000 yearly income group, left college with an average debt of $19,130. What is the reason behind this?

Is the hike in tuition fee the only cause, or high interest loans are compelling them to enter the endless loop of debt.

In addition, college campuses are infested with credit card companies nowadays, with lucrative offers. Is this the reason, young adults starting their career with a huge debt load?

If you have any idea to overcome this problem, share with us.

As a young person who took out several loans pushed myself into debt, I know how hard it is. Debt is basically like a black hole when you're young: you have no knowledge of budgeting or money management and you have this idea that money is free.

The only to combat the problem is lower interest rates for student loans and school courses on money management...I think that would help.
AND raising minimum wage for younger people, such as students. I see students try to work their way through college on minimal pay...it's near impossible.

I also feel to stress the importance of proper budgeting and planning from the days of our youth. At a very young age, we may just get tempted over anything.

We see our friends following the latest fashion trends and partying till late nights. This gives us a feeling that we should not be left behind in the present era. If we are able to control this temptation at that stage when we don't have any fixed jobs, we will succeed in killing the problems of debt. We should think at that point of time, "This is one single life and God has sent us to do many other useful things. Why kill the time doing such things that will never give peace later?"

I also have gone through my days of youth and now I have a fixed source of income. I used to think "What's the use of such luxuries for which I am not capable enough?" With proper planning and management, I am able to utilize my life and I feel that all these sorts of enjoyments should be done at the right time.

I don't intend to preach anyone but I feel that we all can take good care of our life and live with pride.
