How do you improve credit when you dont have any? Is the only way to improve it is by using credit cards? Whats easiest way?

Basically the only way to improve credit is to get credit. A home loan or auto loan is usually the best. What you can do now is get a credit card. Use it, but only spend what you can afford. Maybe use it only to buy gas. Then, when you get your bill, pay it in full. Try to not carry a balance. The most important thing to remember is not to treat a credit card like a credit card. It's very easy to get carried away, and that's how you can hurt your credit.

It is possible to get a credit card(s) even when your current credit score is low. Some gasoline credit cards are fairly easy to get. There are companies that specifically market cards to those persons who have low scores, and acceptance is almost guaranteed. However, your initial credit limit will be low and your interest high. There also may be high fees involved. As stated above, the best thing to do is to start small, pay on time and in full each month, and your credit scores will most likely rise quickly. Best of luck to you.

In my opinion your first step should be applying for a gas card. Gasoline cards are the easiest credit cards to obtain and the best part is they have a low credit limit. However remember to pay the balance every month. The next step should be applying for a department store card; they are a good way to establish credit. Make a few small purchases on the card but do not forget to pay your bills on time. The balance remaining on such cards is a kind of unsecured debt and these types of debts when paid off regularly definitely affects your credit rating. :) After a few months you can apply for a credit card with a low credit limit. Building good credit needs time so be patient.

Good luck!!!
