what is there to say other than nobody taught me that credit was the most important thing next to cash and paying your taxes in this country. I'm only 23 and won't goto college just because i know i already don't need another loan until things are straightened out after i screwed it all up.

yup thats my story

I'm sorry ur finding urself in this mess at such a young age missy but then again, u are young and should be able to get this under control and regain ur credit again, still being young!
Welcome to the forums and if u've registered someone from the site will contact u shortly to discuss ur debt issues and help u come up with a plan to be debt free!
Good Luck,
Ang

That is a tough lesson many of us have to learn the hard way. Learn from this, and once you are back on track, try your best to never get in the same state. I know that can be easier said than done sometimes, because unexpected things happens, heck, life happens.

Good luck and try not to let it get you down too much.

I have been where you are. I ended up doing some very stupid things with my credit too, when I was in my early 20's.
In 2004, I had to declare bankruptcy at 25 years old.
I've learned from my mistakes now though, and i will NEVER make the same mistakes when it comes to money again.

Good luck to you! I hope you find a plan that is right for you and you are able to get out of debt.

It really does seem like the end of the world when you are young and in debt. It feels like you will never get out. It is always so much faste and easier to get in then it is to dig yourself out.
You have found the right place though. Everyone here is so helpful with figuring out what would work best for your situation and also things to stay away from.
I wish you much luck!

Missy, don't worry. It's better to learn these lessons when you are young. You have plenty of time to bounce back and maybe college will be somewhere in your future. :)

lil missy, please do not give up on the thought of ever going to college. As Morningstar said, community colleges tend to be inexpensive and there are many grants and other programs such as federal work study to help with the cost of tuition. There are few things more valuable than a college education and it is a good investment and there is money out there to help those that want to attend. :) You are so young, you will be able to clean up your credit and have a fresh start and have a wonderful life. It is great that you are realizing now and not later how important credit is.
