hello, one of my creditors is showing on my cr that my account was sold one month prior to my filing bk ch 13 then 1 1/2 years later i converted ch 7 now discharged..
i believe they ran and sold it because i filed...
and lied about the date.
will i have to pay it?

and several others say they sold the accounts.

I have a bankruptcy from 04, and I believe my lawyer told me I wouldn't have to pay things that were sold, or that 'came up' at a later time. I would maybe call your lawyer to verify, unless someone on this forum knows for sure. Good luck!

I agree. Call your lawyer and find out what they recommend. When this came up when I did my chapter 7, my attorney told me to dispute it with the credit bureau saying it was discharged in bk and it was removed shortly after I did that.
