will the credit company recommended really help me

If you could please share a little more info like what type of debt help you are looking for, we can guide you in the right direction. Are you dealing with credit card, student loans along with payday loans? Feel free to ask questions

i have payday loans, credit cards, i have not included student loans in the amount. is there a comp that also consolidate pdl? i live in ny state i have 1 with united cash loan for 450 taken out in 6/14/07, i with usfastcash for 450 taken out in 5/17/07, i with mte for 400 taken out in 5/16/07 i with cash supply for 550 taken out in3/27/07, i with oneclick cash for 450 taken out 3/9/07, i with cash today for 222 taken out 2/7/07 and i with marpast of texas for 700 taken out since6/6/06. can some one help me i need to know if these company are legal in my state. i joined yesterday and no one has welcomed me and have replied to my 2 post except u. thanks angelinahill4u

You need to figure out the total amount paid to each company and post it as well. I suspect you have paid off all the loans taken in march and earlier according to your state laws. You need to contact the New York Office of Finance to determine exactly what your state PDL laws are and also to find out if these companies have to be licensed in your state to do business. They should also be able to tell you which of these if any are licensed in your state. You need to close your bank account immediately so these companies do not have access to your account. You need to work with your bank to insure that ALL transactions are completely blocked not just these companies so you do not get ISF fees. They will be sneaky and try to debit your account under other names. Search these boards and I am sure you can find info about your state laws, closing bank accounts and dealing with these PDL companies.

I currently have 15000 in credit card debt due to medical expenses for my mother in law. Unfortunately, the way my paychecks fall, some payments have been late which added additional late fees which has now resulted in me not even being able to make the minimum payments. We signed up with Credit Consultants debt settlement company to help in resolving these issues. I am currently paying them 192.00 every 2 weeks, which according to them, I will have all credit cards paid off in 36 months. There office explained to me that once I have saved up 1/2 of my largest credit card balance, they contact that creditor, make settlement offer etc. Is this how this normally works? I know that I will have charge offs before these debts are resolved. But once these are paid off, is credit score re-established? Have I done the right thing????

If you can not find your state laws here on our site please go to your state's attyorney general site and search for payday lending. The law will come up and you can copy it for future use. There are some people here from NY and just about every other state so if you read and do searches for what you need you can come away with a ton of knowledge...please be patient though...sometimes a few of us take a day away but someone will always be back to answer your questions...
