You can file a dispute with the credit bureaus and send them copies of any documentation showing that you have paid off the accounts. I had to do that with two of my accounts and had them updated. In the future, it is before you pay you should get something in writing requested a pay for deletion or at least updating your account as paid.

Under the FCRA, a consumer can dispute false and inappropriate information with the credit bureau. Notify the CRA in writing that you believe that the information related to that account in the credit report is inaccurate. Provide them the copies (NOT Originals) of the documents that prove that you are done with the account. You should also dispute with the source of information Usually CRAs take 30 days to respond to your dispute letter. And always remember to send the letter via certified mail with a RRR.
