I got a call from ARROWHEAD and they are telling me that I will go to jail if I don't pay them 810.00 for a 260.00 loan they said that they would come pick me up from work and black card my SSN# to where I could not get a job for 3 yrs. and that the coast after being arrested would coast me thousands of dollars. I had to close my account because checks were stolen and they never onced called. The lady said it was aginist the rules for ARROWHEAD to call people. I live in TEXAS . Help me will I or can I go to jail if I dont pay them the 810.00 dollars I told her I would pay her the amount of the loan and she said it was to be 810.00 or go to jail. What is going to happen?

They are using all the illegal tactics to scare and get the money from you. No one will come to pick you from your work place. Please don't be worried about that. They can't touch your SSN#. I have heard them for the first time making this type of threat.

How much have you paid on the account?

Yes, you CANNOT be arrested for this. Just think, if everyone that defualted on a loan was sent to jail, they would need a whole bunch more jails around . . . . And a whole bunch more police to arrest everyone!

These places are just lying to try and scare you into paying what you cannot afford.

They are not going to do this. This is a complete threat to scare you into paying them all this money. If they call again and say this, laugh at them. Make sure you file a complaint as stated above. None of this is going to happen to you!

I faxed them a letter stating they broke state law (of Mass.) and told them they owe ME interest etc. They called me and said they'll consider loan paid in full with no further action. Look up your state's law on loans...I'm sure they don't allow for 482% annual interest.
