For all of you who are getting discouraged with no response from the AG offices, don't let it get you down. I filed complaints on 7 pdl's with my state AG and didn't hear a word. I'll be honest. I was getting discouraged. But I did know that the AG would take time, so I wasn't sweating it or anything. I knew they would eventually do something. Well, today I came home and had a big envelope from the state AG. Apparently, the did them all together (which I guess they would do if you file a bunch of them) and then sent me my response in one envelope for each complaint. They are contacting the companies and they have one month to respond to the AG (in my state anyway). So I'm praying to God that they scare the you-know-what out of these pdl's by contacting them. This has also given me renewed energy to file more complaints on the ones I haven't yet and to also file again "updated" complaints on the ones that have been so horrible since I last filed. They are on it. I can only hope something good comes from this. Maybe once they see the AG is on it, they will back off with their illegal tactics. I'm hoping anyway. So, don't give up on the state AG. If you've filed a bunch, they might be doing the same thing. Doing them all together and then send you the information. So hang tight. They do come through!

Thank you, morningstarr! I don't know about sleeping, but I do have the RENEWED energy now! At least I got something positive today! Lord knows I needed it! And, like I said, I was getting discouraged also. But here it is sitting in front of me! All 7 complaints being looked into by the AG! Yes! So now, I'll file my other complaints and file again "updated" complaints on the butts that have been harrassing me so bad. I knew it would take time, but it does get discouraging. So I just wanted everyone to know that if you're filing a bunch - like most of us are now - they are probably doing them all together. Then they'll send your envelope in the mail. Hang in there. At least one bright spot came into my day! I have that bit of energy to print all the other stuff out, file again, blah, blah. But at least I know my complaints are not going unheard. The BBB has been pretty good. The DFI has been good. And now the AG is working on it. Hell, someone had better start backing down! And it had better be MTE and their 40 d/b/a's! Well, along with others. LOL! So hang in, morningstarr. You, too, might get an envelope in the mail with all your complaints! Lord - let something good come out of this! I have to wait a month, but at least I know they're contacting these idiots. My DFI is so good. I'm hoping my AG is also.

Thank you cannr - I'm so glad you have my back. I filed an electronic complaint at the end of June - I only did one form and stated a summary of all my PDL's. Last night I did an online email to the AG asking for help and explaining that the collection agencies were getting beligerent. Today after seeing Jen's post about the NY AG responding in less than a week I got more information from her on what to do. Tonight I am doing seperate forms for each PDL and am faxing them in the morning. I just want to know from the AG what I am really libel for - hopefully this will help get things rolling.

That's what I'm hoping for. For myself and everyone else on here who has filed complaints with the AG. I've read posts that once the AG got on the pdl, the balance "disappeared". For everyone's sake, I hope the pdl just being contacted by the AG will make a difference. I mean, they can lie to the AG. Why not? They've lied to the other agencies; however, if internet pdl's are illegal in your state and the AG contacts them - I'm thinking that would scare the crap out of them. Maybe wishful thinking, but that's what I'm hoping for.
