Hi,my name is Bea and I hope these questions are not too stupid for this forum! I talked with T&C today and I am very happy with the payment program they are going to set me up with next month. The customer rep person I spoke with told me to call my bank and put a stop ACH debt on my payday loans. If there is anyone out there who has dealt with T&C is this normal? How quickly do they get in touch with these internet payday loan companies to make the necessary arrangements and will the stop ACH debt cause the payday loan companies start the process of calling me at work and home? I'm sorry all of this is very new to me and I need some help with understanding how all of this works. thx.

So, does T&C take care of store front pld's? I thought they only did internet pdl's and credit cards and stuff? How do they handle store front ones? Could someone shed some light on this for me? Thanks for any help!

I would like to thank all of you for answering my questions. You have no idea how awful I have been feeling lately about this whole mess I have put myself into these last couple of months. I am learning so much from each of you and I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am to each and every one of you for the advice you have given throughout this forum.

THANK YOU!!!

Bea.

pat, do a "google search" on this site and type in T&C. You can read posts about them. Some members use them for their pdl's. Another name you can do a search on is Langhorne. Some members use them for pdl's also. Go ahead and do the search and read up on them. Then post any questions that you may have. :D

Thanks for the reply to my question. This is a great forum !!
I have been reading some of the posts and have been finally making some moves against my PDL's.
I closed my checking account, which is a scary thing to do, but I had no choice. Then I contacted all of the payday loans that I have.

Here is my list:
VC FUNDING : LOAN AMOUNT, $300.00, Paid $180.00 in fees
United Cash Loans: Loan,$200.00 pd. $120.00 fee's
500 fast cash; Loan, $300.00 pd. $180.00 fee's
Payday Select: Loan, $500.00 pd. $449.10 (still owe $312.86 on the loan principal)
Cashnet: Loan, $150.00, pd $34.73 ( new one)
Geneva Roth or Loan Point USA, 2 loans at $300.00 each
paid $540.00 for each in fees.

I have emailed Geneva Roth saying that I need to make payment arrangement, I haven't heard a thing from them yet.
Believe it or not, The rest are willing to work with me. They should...... look at the funds that I have paid in fee's to them.
I am in Florida, does any one know what the rules are for this state?? What will happen if I only pay them the loan amount and not pay any of them anymore fee's.
Have I paid to much to them already? HELP !
Pat

pat, here is Florida state pdl law (just select your state). You'll be interested to know that rollovers/extensions are prohibited. Which means you have not paid "fees". All your debits should be going towards your principle amount. No rollover/extension fees. Now I'm going to go back and look at your pdl's. I just at least wanted to get your Florida law up for you. :D

pat, STOP! Wait a minute. What do you mean they are "working with you"? If they are even licensed in your state (which I believe none of them are; however, not positive yet) they are still not following the state law! "Work with you"? Okay. Here's how they can work with you. Here's your breakdown:
VC Funding - you only owe $120.00
United Cash Loans - you only owe $80.00
500FastCash - you only owe $120.00
Payday Select - you only owe $50.90
CashNet - You only owe $115.27
Geneva Roth/Loan Point - Two loans of $300 - You OVERPAID by $240.00 on both.

Hello to all, again. I got in touch with a great lady at the State Department. Her and a college are working on trying to make these crooks go away. Her name is Sandra Smith. Her number is 850-410-9815.
All that the payday loan companies can charge is the amount of the loan plus 10%. Even though I still owe on my loans, it's a far cry fromwhat it would have been if I hadn't found this forum. Sandra has advised me to close my checking account, and send a letter or email to each one stating that I am filing a formal complaint with the State of Florida. I am relieved and maybe now I can sleep at night !
Thanks to cannr for waking me up. You are an angel.
Pat

Cannr is great she knows her stuff. Listen to her advice she will not lead you down the wrong path. We have all been down that path. I am so glad that the State Dept is so willing to help you. That should scare the pants off of some of those PDL co's. that are operating illegally.

You are so very welcome ! 8)

The fight has started. I have sent out emails to all my loans, telling them that I will not pay more than what I was told by the State department to pay. ( The loan total plus 10% minus what I have paid). The funny thing is, Sandra Smith at Florida Regulations told me that they can do nothing if I don't pay other than pester me on the phone. THEN that is considered illegal too. I think that they should take what I am offering and be done with it.
Don't You??
I think that I will finally sleep tonight and will also have a nice weekend.
Night to all,
Pat

I'm glad you've got your state on your side. These pdl's know they are illegal. But that's a problem too. Since they are already illegal, they just keep pushing the limits because they have nothing to lose. They make me sick. Sleep good knowing you're in good hands!

Oh, pat. Expect it. But know that you are correct and they are illegal. Keep that in your mind at all times because a lot of them like to try to scare the crap out of you with illegal threats/illegal collection tactics/etc. So, don't be surprised. If you start getting any crap from these people, come here, post, and we can help you. I can promise you, out of all of us, we've dealt with whoever you're dealing with! And we've pretty much heard it all! Or at least we think so and then someone comes along and throws a new illegal idiot threat out! Just know that we're here and we can help you. Even if it's just an email. Whenever I got an email from a pdl, I would freak, come to the forum, post, wait for responses, then I would respond to the pdl. LOL! But that's the best thing to do. We will keep you level headed while you're freaking out and also give advice on how to deal with them! We're behind you!

I will absolutely keep everyone posted. United Cash Loans re-sent me my loan documents. That is so funny  I am going to forward them to Sandra Smith, the lady that I am working with In the State department. She wants everything that I have as far as paper work. Don't get me wrong, I do feel that I need to pay them the loan back. It just won't be with the hugh fee's that they want. Sandra told me that they will threaten that will send the police after me and all kinds of scare tactics. She said that I should not worry, as they can do nothing as they are illegal and there is not a court in Florida that would take their case. So far, I have only heard from United Cash Loans ( sending me a copy of my loan papers) and I've heard from CASHNETUSA. He is the most brazen in his email, telling me that I need to pay. They have rolled over the loan, which, is illegal and of course, charging a hugh fee. I told him to contact the Florida Regulations for Lending Department. He said that he had no need to do that. I have asked him to prove to me that they are legally operating in the state of Florida. Not heard anything back yet. I tried to close one of my checking accounts yesturday but couldn't because I have two pending transactions that I made and those have to clear first. This is good for all to know !
I put what's called a "Hard Freeze" on the checking account. Nothing can go out and nothing can come in either.I was worried cuz that was where my money is. So, Washington Mutual opened me up a savings account, transferred my money into it and linked my debit card to it. That made me VERRRRRRRRY happy !
Anyone out there that is able to, this will save your butt from lots of money being taken from you.
Well, that's all for now. I've gotta go do some housework.

Hey cannr !

I read your post about Bank of America and what they did to you, re-opening up your checking account. It scared the stuffin's out of me so I called my two banks, Washington Mutual and Wachovia and asked them if someone tried to redebit the checking account that I closed, would it kick it back open and they said that they do not do that. I HATE Bank of America !
I use to have a checking account with them and closed it and went to Wachovia. Just opened a savings account at Washington Mutual. I know that it is a pain in the rear, but my opinion, I'd get rid of BOA. They should be ashamed to include "America" in their name ! Fifth Third Bank will re-open a closed account just like BOA did to you. Stear clear of them too !! Hope your day is going better.
Pat

pat, my bank was 5/3, not Bank of America! Either way, they both must suck. LOL! I was just wanting to warn everyone that 5/3 Bank did a "thing" where they took all customers debit blocks off their accounts. Gee, would have been nice to tell their thousands of customers.............

Thank you for also being angry, ladybug! :D I am going to fire off a letter (again) to the corporate office. This is insane to take blocks off of thousands (I'm sure) of customers accounts and not inform them. Something is not right here. And her words to me were "They did some kind of thing." What the hell? "Some kind of thing"???? Oh, that's professional!

Thank you, morning! Oh, I'll have my letter done to the bank corporate office president tomorrow. They responsed to my other complaint I mailed them. I think they'll respond again. I'm still amazed they did this. And, like someone else posted on the forum, (I think jen??). 5/3 has a bunch of complaints on the BBB. Gee, I wonder why??? Good Lord. Taking off blocks on accounts without notifying customers. WTF? Okay, I'm trying to remain calm.
