I was talking to this John guy who is the collections manager(I'm sure they use that title loosely) for USA Paydayloans.com.

And you guys got some pub...

We were arguing about my loan and I was giving him everything I know about Tennesee laws and everything I've read here...we went around for a good while. Finally he says,

"look just because you read things on some internet forum doesn't mean you can get out of paying your debt...We know about those sites and they are giving false information to people."

I told him that he was representing an internet company as well and that he had changed my mind about those shady internet sites giving people false information and I'm going to stop beieving them right now, starting with you and your lying company. Then I laughed hard as he hung up.

Yeah, um, who benefits here? Do we? No . . . . Why would we be lying? We would have nothing to gain, and lawsuits from the "legitimate" businesses to look forward to if we were.

And, oh yeah, I make up all the laws I quote - they aren't real or anything. :D They aren't easily verified on any state government site. :D

Most of the pdl's are aware of this site, some of them have even come and posted before . . . . That's why you should never post personal information here.

Why do I keep being surprised by pdl's? Lord. I've been accused of "getting wrong or misleading information from the internet". Ummm......stating legal law to them is "wrong and misleading information from the internet"? Okay.....News to me. And when you argue with them, they keep insisting you're getting your information from the internet. What? Who the hell says I don't have a lawyer for a husband? Whatever...........

godz, you paid Sonic for THREE YEARS? What? What's the other name they go by? Are they Cash Today? Are they Northway? Can't keep up.... But, oh my God. I don't want to do the math. Can you/have you tried to contact them regarding this? #1. They are illegal #2. You have so overpaid it's totally sad.

I had taken out loans in the past at the most 2 at the same time a couple of years ago, and we paid them back in a month or two. However, I got into the big PDL mess when my fiance lost his job again last autumn and I ended up defaulted on 9 by the time I found this forum..I must have had about 13 altogether, but I had paid off some of those. I had been paying them about 6 months. I was really lucky. But no, you aren't a freak Godzuki...I've been reading a lot of posts by other members who been in the same boat as you who have been paying for years! :(

Yeah, most of us have been paying on our loans for a long time too before we did anything about them, but just to hear the numbers it's sickening . . . . I think the most I paid was like $2,000 for a $300 loan . . . .

But you are not a freak - You are the norm when it comes to payday loans . . . .

When I read posts like this, I am just in awe!!! I think there should be a new area in the forum or maybe one connected to Community Success Stories called "The Hall of Wow"...because that is all I can think of when people get out from the trap and see how much they paid...it's just astronomical compared to the original loan! :(

godz - You filed with your DFI and your AG? Please also file with the FTC and the BBB. They need as many complaints as possible against these companies. You are dealing with some of the same ones I am. File your complaints with those agencies also. They do look into them.

OMG...I am reading this a little late...but I am think you should get a pro bono attorney and sue their pants off!! There has to be something that can be done when they take advantage at such a level for so long...I know this past April when I got sick of the whole mess and started looking for help, I tried adding up what I had paid out in the last 2 years and I had to stop...I was crying so hard it made me sick..I couldn't even buy any Christmas for my kids last year...and they had to help with dinner. This year will definitely be different!!!!!

The reason I was asking about the rollovers is because when I dealt with one of Sonic's dbas, Payday Avenue, they did not roll my loan over. I had to pay the whole amount back every payday and then they would allow me to reborrow again the next day. I wasn't sure what the situation was in Godzuki's case. Believe me I learned the hard way about the rollovers and how much they end up costing.......
