Sonic Payday Again & Again

lpatch, thank God you have a payroll person with a straight head! This pdl has been attempting this with everyone it seems like. And I do believe it's a "wage assignment"??? Not a "wage garnishment", which would have to come with a court order. Some of these poor people have payroll idiots that are honoring it! Your employer does not have to honor a "wage assignment". And asking for all that information? Incredible. I'm so glad your payroll department isn't retarded! And, yes, they are in Malta operating illegally. I'm amazed at their insistance on mailing these "wage assignments" to employers. What the?? An illegal overseas lending company sending letters to employers. Amazing. I'm assuming that they're doing it to scare people, to take advantage of uneducated people, whatever. And unfortunately it's working on some of them. Good for you and your employer. You were right on it. I'm glad for you. And I'm really getting ticked off at Sonic right about now after I keep continuing to read about all the "wage assignments" they've been mailing out. They must have their Malta workers on overtime in the mailroom getting them all out. Good Lord.

OK, here's something a little off the subject: I was in my doctor's waiting room this Monday and I was glancing at the magazines--when I saw the inflight mag for Air Malta!!!!!! (I am NOT making this up!!) Naturally, I looked at it and was reading an article on what to do in Malta, and no, getting screwed by a PDL was not one of the options, lol!
It really looks like a paradise, and I found out it's in the Mediterreanean Sea.

These people are crazy and they still have the balls to call me at home not to long ago. Come on. Did you see what I wrote up about Zip cash. I sent them request PIF, I guess it worked. My friend said tonight, ask with kindness for a PIF and bite their **** like a pit bull. I have been working another job requesting PIF. lpatch, thanks for putting the notation of them having the balls to do that! LOL! I was going to use the same exact term in my post to you, but didn't know if it would "go through" as acceptable! LOL! These people are insane! Can you just imagine the amount of "wage assignment" letters that they are stuffing and mailing? Oh my God! I'm so glad you got good luck with it. Some other posts I've been reading, these people's payroll department think they have to honor it. I guess it wasn't as obvious to them as it was to your payroll department that an illegal Malta company is attempting to take your wages. HELLO!

lpacheco, I am so glad that your employer would not honor their voluntary wage assignment. Mine wouldn't, either. Sonic and their dba's are FAMOUS for doing these. Unfortunately, some of the hr departments are unfamiliar with them and think they have to honor them. Please, everyone that is reading this dealing with Sonic Cash, Payday Avenue, or any of their other dbas, this is a VOLUNTARY wage assignment. This means you have the right to revoke it AT ANY TIME! Please send a letter to the company stating that you revoke it, as well as notifying your payroll department that you revoke ANY voluntary wage assignment that you may have signed and not to give your personal information to ANYONE without your permission!!!! Exercise your rights!!!! :)

I think I hate Sonic because they are just mean and Cash Today because they are crazy!!!!! Don't know which one I hate more, lol...... I am NOT going to Malta anytime soon, lol!!!!!!
