jenn, a hard debit block means no debits will go through on your account. Nothing. When the pdl's attempt to debit, the bank will reject it. If they try to put through an electronic check, the bank will reject it. I really think it's best to close the account; however, sometimes that not possible for some people. If you can, close it. However, another thing is that, once you "think" you're account is closed, there may be pdl debits pending. If that's the case, then the pdl debits will go through, forcing your account to re-open. You then have all your pdl debits taken out and then bank fees if your in the negative because of them. Ugly, ugly, ugly! So, if you're unable to close it totally, put the hard debit block on. It kind of sucks though because it also means you can't use your ATM card, write checks, etc. If you want money, you have to go into the bank and get it out yourself. But if that's what it takes, then do it. If you can, just open a new account at a new bank so the pdl's don't get your information. If you have direct deposit and need to get it switched immediately, tell your employer you've had fraudulent charges on your bank account and had to open a new account and to immediately switch your direct deposit. Or you can get "live" checks for awhile if needed, if your having bank issues. Please feel free to post any questions. Sassnlucy is in Ohio. I, personally, consider her an expert - but she claims she's not! LOL! But I think she is!
cannr...thanks for the compliment. You are so sweet. :) Jenn,

Jenn, please listen to what cannr said about your bank account. It is really important to find out all that stuff ahead of time. What companies are we dealing with here? How much did you borrow/pay back already? Did I just answer this in another post? :?
sass
sass, this is my fault. jenn originally posted and I goofed up and started a whole new post as a response to her! She has a post titled "help" in which she stated she is in Ohio and which pdl's she's dealing with. I'm so sorry for the confusion I've caused everyone!

jenn, we're all in this together! We're doing exactly what you're doing. Some of us are just a little bit past the point you are, so we can at least advise you on your next steps! But, we are all in the same boat! You've filed your complaints, which is great. You'll get your bank account taken care of, which is very important. We can then help you start sending out letters to your pdl's, if you like. I can't promise it'll do any good, as they are famous for "ignoring" us! But at least you'll have documentation of everything. And, jenn, please make sure you keep documentation of everything. Print it out/copy it/save it/ whatever. Just have documentation of everything. That way your butt is covered. If you send emails/faxes/mail - keep copies of it all. If the pdl's contact you via email/mail - keep copies of it all. If they call you - write it down then email them and tell them to stop calling. More documentation. Some of these agencies may ask for more information once they start looking at your complaints. The more documentation you have, the better you are to help them get these pdl's.

I just emailed both companies, Im not sure what the email should have said, but I mentioned the dates and payments that i have aleady said and questioned the validity of any remaining balance. united cash loans says amount due 125$ i had to search for my password to even log in. and 500 fast cash said amount due 75$. i got both loans on the same day. and thats still a 50$ gap between the two in what they say i owe. geez. 1000$ so far between the two companies that could have been used for damn near anything else. my god
jenn
I know, jenn. I think we've all kicked ourselves in the ass over this stuff, but we can't go backward, unfortunately! If you've already sent an email to them, you're doing good. Because of the fact that these two pdl's are HORRIBLE, any starting point is a good starting point. Because, I'm here to tell you, the will respond and say you owe them a million dollars. They will say you have to abide by their state law. They will say all kinds of crap to you. I've freaked when I've gotten responses from them because they are so bogus! So if they give you a hard way to go via email, do not respond right away. Come back to the forum, let us know what's going on, you'll get advice, then respond back to them with a little more knowledge. They can wait! LOL! If you have problems with them via email, I think we have the compliance department email addresses for you. You probably sent your emails to the customer service email address? Well, it might work, but the compliance department email gets some responses. Ugly ones! LOL! Just wait for them to respond to you. If they don't, email them 10 more times. Or if you're still having problems with them, post your problem and we'll guide you along. I've been dealing with these morons for awhile now, as have so many others on here. I think we've heard it all, but then again, they surprise us daily! Whatever you've emailed, also fax it to them in the morning. When you hear something back, let us know!!! You're doing great!
