Hello: I am going to be sending out a money order to CashNet USA and I want to make sure I get some kind of receipt. What do you guys suggest that is the cheap, yet effective? Thanks!!!

Send it via certified mail return recipt. It is not cheap but the five bucks or so it is worth it for the security. Make sure you get your money order form a place that can track it to see if it was cashed like the post office. How did you get them to accept a money order or are you just sending it. They gave me a real hard time about it.

$5 is MUCH better than the Western Union fees. I went back and forth with CashNet USA but finally got an address. It is only a P.O. Box, so that is why I wanted to get a receipt so it is not my fault if they don'T process it quickly. I am enclosing my emails with them as well. Here is the addy I got:
CashNetUSA
PO Box 06230
Chicago, IL 60606-6230

Ok, so that brings me to the options of new debit card vs. prepaid visa. If I provide them the new debit card does this give them access to my new account? My husband claims that this is not the case - that we are just authorizing them for the 1 payment... but I know that PDLs don'T work under normal procedures. Should I just get a prepaid VISA? Where do I get them? How much do they cost?

I sent my first money order to CashnetUsa and they accepted it. I didn't send it certified though and they still did credit it to my account, and therefore, my outstanding balanced decreased. I've been sending the rest of my m.o. certified. I think if you get one from the post office they can still do a trace on it to see if it was cashed. Also, another thing is to get a money order from your bank and ask if they do traces on it as well. I know my bank does, free of charge.

I was wondering about Money Orders myself. Because I know people have sent money and putting in their letters that by cashing it they recognize the account as paid in full. Can you still do that with money orders, or do you have to make sure the money order is tracked as well as how it was sent?

Send the money order. Get it from the post office. You're going there anyway. Fill it out, make a copy of it, keep your part of the receipt. Mail it out certified return receipt. As frog posted, even if it is a PO Box, they will leave a note in their PO Box that they have a letter they need to pick up. They will go get it. You can track it and make sure it was received by them. You can send it confirmation only also. You can track it and it will send you confirmation that it was delivered. But I prefer the return receipt. It doesn't cost much more. Nothing to sweat over. You can mail the money order in. Like frog said, they will be notified they have a letter. They'll go get it. They know there's money in it.

poko, thank you so much! :D You're really nice to say that! I just give the information I know because I've done it all! LOL! I swear, I just HAVE to tell others what to expect so they're not taken by surprise like I was! And, I'm a big believer in documentation. That's why I said to make copies of the money order and everything. Hell, I make a copy of the envelope I'm mailing! LOL! Thank you again, and good luck to you. You will be fine mailing your payment this way!!!

A lot of members use the prepaid cards. Which is a good idea. That is an option. And a good one. I personally like the idea of having a physical address for payments and documentation of who received it and when. However, what works, works! As long as they can't get your information and as long as they don't claim they're "not getting their payments".
