Due to these being online lenders, it will be difficult for a consolidation company to help you, because most of these companies are not even licensed to operate where you are located - regardless of where you are located. Many of them are offshore companies, not licensed in any state. This is not true of all online lenders, but of a good number of them.
If you have overpaid these lenders already based on your state law, you need to request they mark you paid in full. It will be a battle with some of them, but eventually, you will prevail. Stick to your guns. These companies will threaten you with arrest, jail time, etc - not to mention they will continue to bleed your bank account dry if you don't close it to stop them from accessing it by automatic debit. If they are not licensed to operate in your state, they do not have a legal leg to stand on, and they know it. They are counting on your ignorance of the law and your fear of their threats to get you to continue paying.
Take a moment to figure out what you have paid to these lenders. If you have overpaid already, or at least paid the principal plus the interest allowed by your state law, it's time to stand up and fight for your rights.
Pleas take the advice of SueBee. You may not owe these companies
Pleas take the advice of SueBee. You may not owe these companies anything. Could you list the companies, how much you have paid them so far and how much the original loan was for? Are you in Michigan?
