First Solutions??? I need major help!!!

Hi,
As a college freshman I though that credit was the best thing to happen to me. Boy, was I wrong, as I did not even know the beginning steps to credit & before I knew it, I was sinking under in debt... I now owe Chase credit card agency for a card that I had in the amount of five hundred dollars. This was approximately 3-5 years ago, and the card had since accrued an additional 300 dollars in finance charges, totalling over 800 dollars for what was originally a 500 dollar card. When sent a notice to pay the debt, I had just gotten laid off at a great job & my life essentially started heading down hill. Recently a credit agency called First Solution Management Coporation took over my account and I now owe approximately 2,000 dollars for some miraculous reason. This agency has called my parent's household once & I spoke to them & sat up a supposed payment account. Not without a hassle first however... The lady I talked to told me if I wrote them a check there would be fees to pay, etc. She tried every way possible to get my bank account information, but it wasn't happening, and she even tried Western Union. Only a mere two days after we sat up the payment plan, they began calling again & told me they had no record of her talking to me. I've not sent the payment, due to that reason. I really don't want to pay these people, regardless of if they're valid or not. I would rather all of my payments go to Chase directly... Is this possible? Please help me in any way possible to avoid these people.

That was good thinking, don't give them any banking information.
That was good thinking, don't give them any banking information. Send a demand for validation, demanding how this was calculated from a $500 to well over $2000. Send registered return reciept. You don't have to tell them anything, indeed, with the demand for validation, I'd send a partial cease communications statement saying that you'll only deal with them in writing. Sounds like they're trying to rip you off.
Also make them show the amount and the date of the last payment
Also make them show the amount and the date of the last payment and proof that the statute of limitations has not expired. It varies from state tp state. What state do you live in. Has it been 4 years or 3?
