I received a charge on my checking account from usa benefits for 9.95 .I did not authorize this.I received an email from them about 3 weeks ago about receiving a free credit report from them and I emailed them back and told them I was not interested.
I think they got my checking account information from a payday loan company that I had used. How can I get my money back.My paycheck had not been deposited yet so I also got a 30 dollar fee from them charging my checking account.I emailed them again but have not received any response.I have never even logged into this site to register with them.
Thanks for your help ,It seems like every step I take forward,I take two backwards.

yes i got a payday loan and they charged my checking account for 19.95. i did tell them to cancel it thank you Michele for listing the number i guess i should always read everything but i know i said no to it in the first place thanks everyone for your help

I just got charged $9.95 on my bank account today and i'm freaken pissed off. So i called the 800 number, and told them to cancel whatever the hell they said i subscribed to. So after that was done, i got no refund back so my last words were "You f**king scammer, i'm gonna burn your business down!!!"

I too applies for a pay day loan Then I found the $9.95 on my bank statement My bank put it through twice so I have a sixty dollar charge as well. The only thing I have received from USA Benefits is a bill . When I called them they told me I had to homer the agreement or I would have to pay the hole fee at once. I then called my bank and asked then what could be done and they told me all I could do is stop payment and that would cost me $25 dollars
I would do that but the bank told me I would have to pay that every month the charge came in that's a lot of money. My states Attorney told me if I do not receive anything from them I a reasonable time I can file charges for fraud and petty theft.
If I win then I would have to wait for about six months for restitution .By time I get to court and if I win it will have cost me about $239.70 plus Attorney fees.
Moral to the story is READ THE FINE PRINT
As they sat buyer beware

I also went through a payday loan service and received an email. I decided to check it out. I got my credit report and score but still trying to see what's happening with the so called credit line. Can't seem to click on the link for it or get to it through the website.

They charged my account 19.95 and i called them and they said they could do nothing about it. It was also on my short week of work and they overdrew my account and they will not give me back the 37.00 that the bank charged me for over draw and how they got my checking account info. I am not sure.

I am glad to report, that I contacted USABENEFITS, and got this atrocity cancelled and will be getting a refund, will get to my bank today and file a fraudulant charge to my account anyway. Spoke to the rep in a even tone told her my problem, then hit her with " before you even go to your script, I will just say I don't care how you got me in this stuff, so you will first cancel this acount, and I will get a refund, or I will just send a little note the Hawaii Attorney Gens office, file a police report, file with the bbb, and the ftc and who ever else will listen, AND direct them to this site. right away I got put through to the super, she was very nice, tried to turn it around with some email thing. When I pointed out that they didn't even have a site, she said it was through some other company, and I would have known it from the email they sent. accourding to her I read it:o I said no and I don't care what you say, I want my money back and one way or another I will get satisfaction because I am pissed off,

needless to say I said nothing after that and left her hanging. she said it's very rare for them to give refunds, these creeps took money out last month too. I told her I wanted all of it back, I will deal with my bank on the overdraft fees.

so for you people out there who in that place i was (is) in 1 hour ago. Go for it be nice it kills them, leave no room for them to make it your fault, they tried, I said I don't care bout that stuff so save it.

to all those out there who have posted thank you ever so much, cause if it weren't for you all, I would be aping out right now and they would win. in more ways then one. keep up the good work.

I hope this helps someone (what the heck many) out there to get the relief they need and deserve.

Much Mahalo's and bless you all

Ms Terry

Hello All -

I too have been a victim of this company. I just got off the phone with this woman, she explained how they got my info, and supposedly I have a $2500 credit card for their store. Here is the web address. shopping.usamemberbenefits.com. You need to get your account number though. I guess in addition to this, they give you access to your credit report. But of course I was told that they sent a confimation email, what a bunch of crap! I haven't gotten anything from them that I am aware of anyway. So then she's explaining this to me and the call was disconnected. So who knows. I will keep you all updated as I find out more about this crap. Just thought maybe more info could be helpful.

Applied for a payday loan (mistake #1),then noticed that USA Benefits was debiting my acct monthly in the amount of 9.95... I have since incurred overdraft fees and now my acct is a mess! I called the gangsta's (USA Benefits) and they promised to cancel my membership (that I never used) and credit my money back. This remains to be seen but prayerfully I can get this taken care of and stop losing money on nonsense. Any suggestions on dealing with payday loans besides closing your bank account and working out a payment plan with them? Frustrated!

Well, I feel better that I'm not the only one who doesn't know who is taking money out of my account each month!! I got a payday loan, and these people have been taking the $9.95 every month since. I didn't read the fine print, obviously... I will try to call them, but will have to do so on my lunch break, because I only have a prepaid cell phone, and refuse to waste my minutes sitting on HOLD! I do that enough to legitemate companies!!

I had the same problem today. I checked my account with Bank of America and came across a pending transaction for $19.95 from USA Benefits. I called the phone number provided from them which was 1-800-809-5986 and when a representative came on line she started verifying my information. I asked her what company she was with and she refused to give me any information until I confirmed all my information with her. I refused and asked to speak with a supervisor. The supervisor tried to make me do the same thing and once again I refused. I then decided to look up the company on the internet and found that they are a fraudulent company that acquires your information from online payday loans and other entities. I immediately called my bank and am in the process of disputing this transaction. They are not going to make their money off of me by illegally debiting my account for something I never authorized to begin with. Something needs to be done about this company.

I encountered the same problem. On Dec. 28, 2006, a withdrawal for 19.95 was made from my checking account. I called (this was payday for me) when I realized my balance was short. I immediately cancelled, got a cancellation # and was told that I would receive a refund within 8 days. I just got off the phone with a supervisor. I explained to him that I was an Attorney and unless my account was credited in the same amount, not only would I contact the BBB, but that I would also report it to my superiors at court. His name is Ben, employee ID#2411, 1-800-634-6730. This is his direct line. He stated that he was sending the refund as we spoke, thus giving me a confirmation #. He also stated that it would take from 72 hrs to 5 days. His excuse for not doing this on the 4th of Jan (the day they received my funds) was that they had system error. For 6 days? I don't think so. Call this guy and tell him that you have spoken with an Attorney and do the same as I did. Good luck

I accidently lucked out by default. $9.95 is not the worst they can do to us. I got an e-mail today from trans union credit reporting agency saying that i had critical updates on my credit report. At first i thought, surrrrrre, they just want me to go to this site then tell me i can find out what they are by paying for a membership. Come to find out i already have an account paid for with a gift certificate. So i thought for a minute, and nope i never had a gift certificate. So I called trans union and they tell me i a fly paid membership for a year paid for my usa benefits. So i say to "Gary" who the heck are they. He tells me they are a health insurance company. There is such a company. But not the one we are all looking for. I called the 800 number i found in one of your notices and sure enough i have an account with them, but not for $9.95 a month, mine is $79.95 for a $7500.00 credit limt for there merchandise. As Luck would have it for me, i accidently gave them the wrong account number. I gave them my cancelled account. They actually had the nerve to ask me for an updated account.

Thank you to everyone here who posted information on how to obtain a refund. I had $19.95 withdrawn 4 times from my account by USA BENEFITS ($79.80 total). I had no idea who they were or why this happened. God bless the internet. After reading some of your messages, I called and requested a supervisor immediately. I didn't have to give out much information but confirmed what they had. I was firm but professional and they agreed (finally) to cancel my account and provide a full refund (even though I hadn't noticed the transactions until just now). I'll watch to ensure that the refund is processed but am thankful to have gotten this far. If you fall victim to this scam - call them right away. Be direct but be professional. They're only rude if you're rude. Do not accept their scripted responses and insist on a full and immediate refund. The supervisor I spoke to was Diane (employee #2344). I'll be much more careful, going forward, when providing information over the internet. Good luck everyone!

I didn't use their service, but I still got a charge of $19.95 in my checkign account. So the price for this scam has gone up. My husband spoke to them on the phone and that is how they got my information. He asked them to call me back because he was not understanding what they were saying. The person on th ephone had a very heavy (non-english) accent. When they called I told them I was not interested in using their payday loan service (their fees are outrageous), and not to call me or email me again. Then I get the charge for 19.95 and I am going to ber charged this every month. I got their phone number off this website and I called them. But because my husband had spoken to them the "account" was in his name. I had to have him get on the phone and tell them to cancel his account and refund the 19.95 promptly. Surprisingly they did it right away. I called from the midwest US at 2 p.m. and got right through so use this to figure out a good time to call from your time zone. Here's the # again 1-800-809-5986 and DON'T take no for an answer. I think they have realized that they are in trouble for this and are more willing to cancel these accounts-if you notice them and call them. Good Luck!

My fiance's acct has been being debited for several months for $19.95. Every time it cleared the account, I asked him what it was for. He told me that it was his acct for his credit report. I knew the name of the site that he was actually using, and they were also debiting his acct. Because my name is not on the acct, I can't talk to the bank or the company to find out what it is or to have it cancelled. Today, I finally got sick of paying out $19.95 a month for something that we didn't even know what it is so I googled it and found this site. I know that everyone else said that they called right after noticing it, but it has been going on with us for probably a year or more. Is there any way to get any of our money back?

I set up an account about two weeks ago with a company called usa benefits.. They saud It was a credit card that would help my credit.. Iw as to pay 200 dollars before recieving the card.. I agreed on terms that I would make two payments of 100 dollars which was scheduled for the middle of august... On july 31 they took it upon themseves to try and take out 19.95 from my account in which I did not agree to this transaction.. My account is fairly new so the bank would not cover the overdraft.... Yet I was still billed by the bank for the insufficiet funds.. They charged me 34 dollars... Im soo mad.. I dont want to deal with this company and I think they should pay the 34 dollar fee.. Not me... I did not authorize their transaction...
