Disputed item on report updated but not removed?

Shouldn't they remove this account altogether since it was discharged in a bankruptcy and certainly well past SOL in FL? What can I do to get it removed?
Assuming you did not reaffirm this debt or keep making payments
Assuming you did not reaffirm this debt or keep making payments after you filed BK, the account should fall off your credit report 7 years after the date your account first become delinquent.
Most likely your account was bundled up and sold to a junk debt buyer, which is why they gave it that status.
Experian will not let you keep disputing the item (if you did it through their website), instead they will tell you to contact whoever is reporting the information. And that is what you should do.
Draft a firmly worded letter to company, stating that the account should no longer be listed on your credit report, and that furthered reporting constitutes as violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Threaten to bring action if they do not follow the laws.
No I haven't seen or heard of this account since I closed it way
No I haven't seen or heard of this account since I closed it way back when. I did dispute it with Experian online so I will contact the company now. Thank you!
