Well it all starts out with me thinking that I would be able to keep up with my credit card payments and medical bills I was mistaken.

Welcome to the Community Tim :D Don't feel bad, we all have been there-the point is, you now need help, and we can help! If you signed up for the free credit consultation, someone from your area will contact you about options you may have concerning your debt. In consolidation, you can put all your unsecured debt into one monthly payment. usually with lower interest, allowing you to get them paid off sooner. Have you tried talking with your creditors directly to see if they will drop or lower interest so you can get these caught up? Also contacting them about lowering payments sometimes works too, or it has for me. If they won't, you can go with another option. Feel free to ask questions, don't feel bad or embarrassed, we have all been there, and there is hope!..Good Luck..KAren I am deleting your duplicate post..

Do you know how much you owe in total? You may pull your latest credit copies and calculate the total outstanding balance. The credit bureaus often report inaccurate items on the consumer????????s files because of handling millions and millions of data entries. Dispute any inaccurate item if it????????s reported in your file and get it fixed. Once you know the actual status of each account, call the creditor and propose your payment plan. You may be able to set up a plan with them. You may also speak to a debt counselor for professional help.
