Also, do you know if your accounts have been turned over to a collection agency or are they still with the original creditor. In some cases, you may be able to work out a settlement plan where you can pay off the account for a reduced amount.

dmp companies handle accounts that are in collections. They will first get the debt validated from the CA to make sure that they are authorized for collections. Then they will set a lower repayment plan that you can afford.
