i have been paying monthly to a ca since 1999. i still have a balance of 3626.09 but i looked on the back of the letter and it says
this communication is from a debt collector and any attempt to collect a debt. any information obtained will be used for this purpose.
at this point in time no attorney with this firm has personally reviewed the particular circumstances of you account
does that mean i still have to pay?

3. what state do you reside in?
Answer the three questions, and then we can come up with answers to your situation.
threats of garnishment
1) is allied interstate likely to garnish my wages in regards to a defaulted student loan which has been delinquent since 1991?
2) is there any way for me to get my loan back to u s dpartment of education?(eliminat creditor, pay lender)
3) can i reconsolidate a loan that has already been reconsolidated?
