First of all, if you are deployed, you fall under the Soldier and Sailor Act, which denies collectors from collecting while you are deployed. They violate Federal Laws if they pursue you right now. Second of all, a collection Agency must be licensed in the state or country in which they are collecting. I will tell you this, that most collection companies operate illegally, by using threats or not being properly licensed. If they are not made available to you, by either phone or an address, than they are most likely an illegal collection company.
