No they can't do that. If this account was listed on the bankruptcy then they should not be calling you about it. They also are not allowed to discuss your account with your parents. I would contact your bankruptcy attorney and let them know what is going on.

I had the same thing happen to me, they told me I had to fax them a copy of the offical discharge letter and the page of my bankrutpcy papers listing them as debtors. What a bunch of idiots. If they truly are a law firm they should now the laws of bankruptcy. They are probably just a collection agency acting as though they are attorney's just to scare you.

The attorneys probably do know bankruptcy law, but the persons calling you are just calling from a call bank and don't know any law from a hole in the ground. I agree with cajun. The bankruptcy attorney should be contacted.
