OMG..I thought I was the only person in the world who ever even HEARD of Zappa!!!!
And by the way.."IT" was Stephen King's finest, after Christine and The Shining. I keep reading all the new stuff as soon as it comes out, but Mr. King lost it all somewhere around "Gerald's Game".

No Fins, I've heard of Zappa too!! You are right about Steven King losing it, don't know what happened to him, but his books went the way of-what are talking about-.I would get so lost, I wasn't sure if it was the same book or not!!..KAren

I don't know what happened to King either. But I generally read the likes of Jeffery Archer, Ken Follett, etc as far as fiction goes. I think the first King novel I read was The Stand, on it's first release in paperback. I remember thinking, "this guy is cool". As to Zappa, I've been listening for years, at least since when at school in the 1970s. "I might be moving to Montana soon, to raise me up a crop of dental floss..." or ""Watch out where the huskies go, and don't you eat that yellow snow..." LOL
I like Follett too. I forgot about the yellow snow

LOL, every single winter since moving up north I think about that yellow snow...I loved him when I was in middle school!! I had an enormous crush on Dweezil, remember him?
Dweezil has become quite a musician in his own right. Bossy,

Bossy, Follett is now writing (or just wrote) a sequel to Pillars of the Earth. I don't know the publication date.

I'm totally hooked on Harry POtter right now. I'm almost done with the last book. Sad day.....maybe then I can get csught up on the Edward Rutherford books. He writes historical fiction that traces generations of the same families in specific areas. He wrote one about Russia, another book about the Stonehenge area, another about Ireland. That's the series I'm reading now. They are really good. If anyone remembers Mitchum's "Hawaii", it's along the same lines. It could just be my geekness coming out, though. Brainy reading.

OMG please don't think my dad is a bad parent......he was a hard core fan of Zappa, and used to listen to his 8 tracks when we were little. Me and my sister knew all the words to LOTS of his songs. I just realized a year or two ago just how dirty and inappropriate they were.....hilarious though!!!
Thanks Law student, I'll have to check that one out!..KAren
