I have something on my CR says Palisades Collection L, no number or addresss to contact them. Doesn't tell me what the charge is for, it just says I have a balance.. Any help will be appreciated.. Thanks a bunch..

This is what I found with the BBB at http://www.trenton.bbb.org/nis/newsearch2.asp?ID=1&ComID=0221000012001643 they are a collection company, usually dealing with ATT, Cingular, etc., with not so many kind comments about them on this forum!! You can dispute the item with the reporting agency on your report, if you don't know what this is, or believe it to be wrong..Good Luck..Karen you can search this site and see what others have done with them

Palisade collection LLC - 201-567-5648 is a Delaware Limited Liability company. Their address is

210 Sylvan Ave
Englwood Cliffs
NJ 07632

Dispute the item with your bank. They are required to verify the info with the CA and give you the details. If the item isn't verified, they need to remove it from your credit copy. Do all the correspondences in writing for proof.

Yes I agree with weeswie. Never make any communication with these people over the phone. Its outright humiliation. Always communicate with them in writing. Send the letters via certified mail with a RRR. And remember to keep a record of every letter, documents, mail or fax. It will help you in supporting your position.

I just called them so many times they were getting pissed at me. I also told them I would continue calling. My wife calls for a reputable company and she knows what can nd cannot be done. We are having fun with these jerks now. I am probably going to turn it over to my attorney and have him deal with them. He loves jerks like this.

I have the same situation with Palisades and Mann Bracken. The account was settled in 2007 and now they are showing a validation after 5 months of me requesting. I keep records for years but we had a terrible ice storm and my sump pump decided to fail and this particular letter was in with a small group of documents which were totally ruined. I do not know where to start.

I made a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission. I had been fighting Palisades Collection Agency for about 2 years. I sent them certified letter after certified letter and they never responded. Finally I got tired of sending these certified letters. It is my understanding that the collection agencies hate dealing with the FTC, they would rather remove the entry than to deal with them. The FTC has thousands of civil and criminal law enforcement agencies worldwide. Once I made the complaint against Palisades they were off my credit report within a month. So dispute it first with the CRA's wait your thirty days, then make a complaint with FTC.
