What do I do? I am in doubt that this agency is trustworthy and hesitant to give them any money. I'd like to get the debt taken care of, but I don't trust these guys. Anyone have any info?[/url]

Help I am also paying money to them. I had a $300 debt to Providian, and now they are making me pay 3 times as much. I've given them $500 and they want more. Do I continue paying? They say they are a law firm and will sue. Help me!
What can I do?
In 2008 I was contacted by a collection agency to paid off a debt from citybank. I set up a payment plan and eventuall paid off the debt. The account was to the First American Investment Co. My contact person was named Sean Payne. Nevertheless I did a settlement closing out the account. However now I have a new law office contact me about owing on a citibank account. I attempted to get a letter that the account was paid because i couldn't find the fist one. Finally when I called the company at 1866 375-0594, I am getting bad automated vioce mail ansering service. Furthmore when I called First America at 1716 999-0350, I get the name of another company(debt resolution).
If you can help find resolve this situation please reply back, or give me a name of a law I can contact to potiential sue this company and get my money back if they are not legit. Finally, I do have information to show I was making payment to this company.
