Hi! I have at least 5-6 items on my credit report that are as of the begining of 2007 out of statute. how do I efectivly remove these without going through each agency that the debt is now with? I tried to dispute them 2 years ago but that didn't work. are there lawyers that you could pay to take care of everything? I want them completely removed from my credit report. Help!!!
Thanks

Debts on which the SOL has expired will still appear on your credit report. You won't face any legal actions from the creditors or the CAs but the item will stay negatively on your file for seven years starting from the date of first delinquency. Disputing a negative item that is correctly reported by the bureaus won't help. The only way to fix this is to pay the debt and improve your credit slightly by a few points.
