Welcome to the Community Randy :D Congrats on wanting to take hold of your debt and get it cleaned up while you are young. It can be done, it just takes time!

If you have tried to work with your creditors, and see if they will drop or lower interest, and they won't, debt consolidation may be an answer for you. In consolidation, you can put all your unsecured debt into one monthly payment, with lower interest, allowing you to pay it off sooner.

My creditors, or rather most of them, dropped the interest so I could pay it off sooner, alot of them have hardship programs to allow this, but some companies won't do this.

Since you have registered with this site, someone from your area will contact you for the free credit counseling. They will discuss options you may have, and you are free to choose one or not. Be sure and check out any company you may go with, with the BBB and others who have used them successfullly.Feel free to ask us questions!!..KAren Also, pull up your credit report with the 3 bureaus, and see where you are on that!

Hi Randy

Bossy is right. debt consolidation is the best way to get rid of all your debts. Managing your debts is a tough job especially if you have a long list of debts. With the help of debt consolidation all your multiple debts will be merged into one single loan with a relatively lower interest rate. The reduced rate of interest, late fees & penalties elimination and a lower monthly payment all these factors will help you in getting out of debt.

Good luck
Nelly
