I disputed a debt with the CRA and simply got a reply of "verified." Do I have the right to demand that the CRA present me with legitimate documentation that this debt is valid or remove it from my report? I don't believe the debt is vaild and it seems they do nothing other than take the creditor's word that it is.

You are allowed to request MOV from the bureau.Send them a letter demanding to know their method of verification including names, addresses,or phone numbers. After they respond and if account is still verified, you also have the right under Facta provision of Fcra to dispute account directly with creditor who placed it on your report.

So I contact the CRA and they simply give me the contact at the creditor who says the debt is valid. I then dispute it with the creditor and they refuse to remove it. What then?
