I'm sorry to hear that you are in Payday Hell, but there is indeed a way out. The first thing you have to do is contact your bank and get either a new account number or see if there is a way they can permanently block these IPDL places from your account. Once you do that, then you need to contact these places to work out payment arrangements. You have listed your loans out, but how much have you actually paid them? If you have paid more than the loan balance you need to demand that your accounts be marked paid in full or you will go to the Oregon Attorney General.
Good luck and we are always here for you!

Go open an account at a totally different bank and don't give out your account numbers or where your new bank is at. Read this post first before you do anything about closing your old account: http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/close-account.html.
Stop any direct deposit and get a papercheck from your employer. They will probably give you the run around about they can't get you a papercheck for a couple of pay cycles but most likely they can. I personally would tell them that you were victim of identity theft and it has wrecked havoic on your financial situation and you needed to close your account to get this to stop.
I know a little white lie but it's better than to tell them the truth and go through the embarrassment.

OR
OR isn't clear on criminal action. Should this concern anyone? I happen to like the ones that specify "prohibited". I get nervous regarding bank accounts when it doesn't state anything about criminal action.........
You will find the Payday loan laws for Oregon here (just select your state),

mezznin. Here is what I did. I am with Washington Mutual, a brand new checking account that I opened up online. With that checking account I opened up a savings account. If you are not overdrawn, the bank will close that checking account for you. Myself, I had two debit transactions, for gas and some groceries that was pending, so I could not actually close the account until those two items cleared. What the bank did for me was to put a "Hard Freeze" on that account. Because those two transactions happened before the freeze was put into effect, she left enough money in there to cover them and transferred the rest of my money into a savings account and linked it to my debit card. This way I can at least conduct business. I also had my paycheck direct deposited into that checking account, so, Monday when I go into work I am going to have it changed to the savings account too. Understand that a hard freeze means that nothing can go out and nothing can come in. If you do this make sure that that checking account will not draw off the savings account if you become overdrawn. If you look on the laws for your state that cannr posted above, there is a phone number to call. I did and just talking with them helped so much. Keep posting and reading here on this site. These are amazing people and have all been in your place of sadness.

Thanks all for the advice. As of right now I am working on getting my letters together and mailed off. Also on Monday will be visiting my bank branch manager, my girlfriend worked for wells fargo for about a year and she is missed. So I think before we try closing our account we a re going to see about an ACH block. Question though, I read somewhere that these companies will print out paper checks for the amount and deposit them? Is that right? So if so will an ACH block work? or should I just look into having the account changed? Thanks again for all of the help.
Again, please read this post at http://www.debtconsolidationcare
Again, please read this post at http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/close-account.html before closing your account. Yes debtis can go through even if you have an ach debit- mine did. What they do is just change the name of the business to another dba, or alter the amount by a few cents..Keep us posted..KAren

guest, do a hard debit block. If you just block ACH debits, paper checks/electronic checks will go through. So, if you feel the need to put a block on your account, make sure it is a hard debit block. Nothing will go through. Not even YOUR transactions, like using your debit card, etc. But, yes, these pdl's will definately put through a paper check/electronic check.

This is really important - Have you rolled any of these loans over since July 1?
Oregon just passes some new laws regarding pdl's, and they are pretty good. But they went into effect July 1.
If your loans are older then that and you didn't roll them over after July 1, then the old laws would apply, not the ones that Cannr posted above.
I'm from Oregon too!
The 1st Bank of DE loan doesn't look like a pdl, more like an installment loan. Is that right? You make a payment every month for x amount of months?

jewel..yes, cannr is right, writing to the BBB is a great idea, but more of along-term action....the BBB will not make them stop debting your account right now...you need to close it.
