In July of 2002, we refinanced our house and paid off liens on it, many were medical bills. In October 2002, a collection attorney contacted me on some medical bills. I told her that I would check to see if these were paid or not. While contacting these debtors and awaiting correspondence, I was contacted again by the legal office and rudely forced to pay large amount of money (2100.00) to start up a payment plan. I kept contacting this attorny's office to let them know the progress I was making on finding the receipts to thes paid items.( These wewe old collections that were already charged off orout of computer data bases.)
Later on, all of my bank accounts were froze. My husband owned a franchise under his own name, but the corporate name was used to freeze the accounts. I paid an attorny to take care of this. He said that freezing these accounts like that was illegal. I know that for a fact that $2,000.00 of these collections were paid, And i wrote a check for $2,100.00) of the total $4,148.33. I demand that the judgement be removed! Who do I contact?

Have you verified on the validity of the judgment?

I think that you have to contact the company who has filed judgment against you and inquire about the status of your account. They will remove the judgment after the account is paid as per the agreement signed between both of you.
