I would appreciate any help .I am in credit card debt. Currently I am behind about three months in payments for the following credit cards:
1.Citi Bank-a little over $4,000.00
2.Bank of America-$2,000.00+
3.HSBC(Orchard Bank)-$700.00
I lost my job due to a substance abuse problem. I went to and completed a
program at a Drug and Alcohol Treatment center. I am also currently
receiving treatment at a outpatient facility. I am awaiting Public
Assistance as well as about to start school to find a better job. I was in
high pressure retail which contributed to my addiction problem.
Another problem exists,Chase bank gave a $11,000.00 debt to a debt
collection law firm of whom I could not continue paying, they claim it will
go to judgement against me,it might of while I was in rehab.
In addition another Bank of America debt went into judgement against me
for around $3,800.00.Of which I never received a summons for. I was
contacted by attorneys and finally received a judgement notice.
As of now I have little or no income. I will have access to about
$7,000.00 in January of 2008,retirement and profit sharing money from my
last job. Can you help or direct me?I am about to give up all hope.
Sincerely,
Craig Privett

Hi bassman. Congratulations on your recovery. :-)
Don't give up hope. It sounds like things are going to be getting better for you soon. Have you pulled your credit report to see what it is reporting?
You're welcome. You can go to freecreditreport.com and get one.

They ask you to enroll in triple advantage which will cost you a monthly fee, but you can drop it within the first 30 days and never have to pay for it. Also, google free annual credit report. If I'm not mistaken everyone is entitled to one free report per year.
