I just found this site xxxxxxxxxxxx.com, and wanted to know if it's a bad idea to get a loan, even if the first one is free! I know if you don't pay them back you get charged a lot of money, but what if I know I'll be able to pay it back? I just don't have a lot of experience with money, and want to be smart about my finances.

Audrina....in my book any payday loan is no good. What if something should happen...and it usually does...and then you can't pay it back, even though when you took it out you "knew" you could??? Read in the forums on debt and payday lending...they are full of people who thought they could pay it back. Please find another way to take care of your problem without borrowing from a pdl.

Welcome to the Community :D Here is a link for you to read about them at http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/settlement/about32162.html Stay away from them!! They are based out of Costa Rica, and have numerous complaints against them.

Remember, nothing is free- they say that to get you hooked, then they have you!

If you need help with your finances, there are other ways to solve your problems other than a pay day loan, which will keep you trapped.

Since you have registered, someone will contact you for your free credit counseling, and offer solutions, from which you are free to choose or not.

Before you take out a loan, do consolidation, anything, always check out the company you will be dealing with..Feel free to ask questions, we are here to help you!..Karen

I agree with the others. Please don't do it!!! I was in the same frame of mind you are in 2 years ago. I thought just one would be fine, then I needed another. Things were still manageable, but then all of a sudden I had six, and I was in trouble. $200 is not worth the headaches and sleepless nights they cause.

You are absolutely right, Fins. Mine ended up causing me sleepless nights, headaches, nausea, cold sores and weight loss from the anxiety and stress. (I know I need to lose weight, but my goodness!!! :-) )

I will never again give them that kind of power over me. I can't tell you what a relief it is that this is finally almost behind me. They are never worth getting.

I will tell you like everyone else has, stay away from these people and all payday loan companies. They definitly are not the smart way to go. Even when you think you can pay them back in full, one thing leads to another, life happens and next thing you know, you are in a vicious payday loan circle that you cannot seem to get out of. You will start paying outragious rollover fees, and they will keep taking and taking and taking and next think you know, you don't even have enough money to live on. Please stay away!

DO not do it. Think of a different way. Try the website Prosper.Com. There are private individuals that are willing to loan money to someone that has a high enough FICO of at least 520 I think. Try there do not and I repeat do not take out that loan!!

Take our advice we all have all been there. It's the worst mistake you could make.

Like the others stated above do not do it. If you want to be smart with your finances this is not the way to do it. I am sure there are other ways you can get the extra money you need, but going with a payday loan is not the way to do it. I ended up paying over $4000 per month in fees until I said enough.

If you need a little help with a budget, you can talk to a counsler and they will be more than happy to help you get on the right track and then you WILL be smart with your finances. But if you have a past due bill or something that you really need a payday loan for, try talking to the company you owe the debt to and see if they can make a payment arrangement with you. Sometimes all you have to do is ask and they will be more than happy to help you out.
