You're so right, Anthony. When a new person posts in, s/he will feel so good if s/he's answered by the community in just few minutes. Thanks Anthony for the heads up. We have so many regular members here to take care of the new people visiting the website, and it sure feels good to get the help in time.

I agree, some visitors are actually very appreciative to get a prompt answer, because they are stressed out and have no place else to turn. Usually when someone stumbles across this site while Googling, they are at there wits end.

I stay on few other boards and the reason I like this place is because of the regular activity. Each forum here has their own mods and regular members attending the new topics and posts. And in case, no one is there, I see some of the guests answering the unanswered topics. It looks good to someone new on the website.

I haven't had much time to be on the forums lately, but I'll try to step up the pace a bit. Thanks for the heads up, Anthony.

I too have been extremely busy and have not been posting much at all. I am going to try to be on here more. I am taking 22 credit hours this semester plus having family problems concerning my daughter, etc.........

I know, life is damn busy. Its hard to just get on here at times. Here is my process when coming here: 1. Check my threads 2. Check my home page 3. Check unanswered questions 4. Bounce all around site.

Damn! Being scolded by anthony! I feel like a whipped puppy! I feel as though I need to apologize! I'm sorry, anthony! I, also, will check the unanswered posts. But, like you, I check my threads and there are tons. I check my pm's and there are tons. Then I bounce! But, I will keep my eyes on it. There's no reason you should have to be the only person to check those unanswered ones. Sorry, anthony!

I don't know much about anything other than what I have learned from you guys but I have been trying to answer people's posts. Hopefully, I am not giving them incorrect information. :? I always tell them that someone with more experience will be coming along but I like to give them something to do in the mean time.
I know how it feels to feel alone in this situation. I don't want anyone to feel that way since I have been there. :P

I just left a post without signing in
I basically said that I try to help people whenever they have a question and try to give them some information for them to read and tell them that I am new here but that someone with more experience will be along to offer advice.
I am assuming that the info I am giving them is allright I haven't heard otherwise. I just know how it feels to feel overwhelmed  And how much the information that was provided to me helped ease my mind.

ladybug, if your information is incorrect, you will be scolded! LOL! You're trying to help people! You're fine! If you don't know the answer, then don't answer. Or suggest where they might find the answer. You are trying to help. What can be wrong with that?

Everyone on this site has knowledge and support to bring to this site. Don't be afraid to answer because of a lack of knowledge.I still refer my pdl questions and settlement questions to other members who are far more knowledgeable than me in that area. If you don't know the answer then just tell them we will get them help and your post will bump their topic so it stays at the top of the page.

I agree, there are times that I tell the person to hang in there, someone with knowledge of a specific issue will be by soon.

I did this! I did this! I checked the unanswered posts late last night (trying to help!). And I just welcomed them and told them I am not an expert regarding their situation; however, one of our knowledgable forum members would be along to answer their questions and to hang tight! I checked this morning - and ta da! - people had come and rescued them! So.... I am trying! At least I did acknowledge they were alive & there will be someone along to help eventually! Tell me I did good, okay! :D

That is all it takes to ease most stress for people, knowing that there is a human being responding to them. There are plenty of times that I just welcome them and assure them that they came to the right place for help.

I always look, first, at the posts no has answered yet. If I have spare time, I go to the unanswered posts too. I know how I felt when I first came on here, and was responded to quickly!!..Karen
