They had to contact the AG to find out if they were illegal?? That makes no sense, don't fall for it. They are illegal and not licensed anywhere. How much do you still owe them?

Ask your bank to block ameriloan from making any debits in your account. You'll have to be pro-active before they get the access to your account and withdraw funds. I hope your bank seems to be helpful.

They can't debit my account the account is closed. I have paid them over the amount I borrowed and told them I have been in good suckered standing for 2 yrs because I didn't know better. Never again. I borrowed $250 they say I owe $400 now I should have told them they will have to pull it from wher ethe sun don't shine :-)

Sfate, I wouldn't worry about them. If you overpaid them, you're done. Just file complaints with the AG, BBB, FTC, etc.
