I really don't want to go to work today :x Yep still on second shift, but thats not too bad. But I just hate working with people who complain all the time and that are never happy. They make it bad for the rest of us.

I work on an assembly line and we have one person that is very fast, she is a good worker BUT, she is soooo crabby and when ever the line leader tells her something she comes back with a no i'm not gonna do that. Then she slows down grrrrr. Then she's the first one that runs to HR saying she's treated unfair :x Then we have another person that CAN do the job by himself but because the line leader goes over to help him all the time, he expects it ALL the time :x I am sorry but those 2 people need a talking to or just booted out the door. Now they wonder why I won't be a line leader, I feel like I am working with a bunch of 2 year olds, all the bickering back and forth on the line :x

So now "I" am supposed to pick up the slack on the line WTH. Thats not fair. I do my job and then some and now they want me to do more. God I can't wait till tomorrow night is over with then it's a 3 day weekend for me and they will have to find some other sucker to pick up the slack on Friday night, because I will be sitting by a campfire with a yummy drink lol.

Ok done now and thanks for listening :) and yes I feel better but I think if this keeps up a nice little talk with my supervisor will be my next step. Now I am off to the playground. See ya all later.

Man, puddle. That sucks. Don't you just want to look at these people and say "Shut the f up!" Sorry. Just venting for you........

Oh gosh, do I feel your pain! My work situation sucks right now too. But not going to get into it on your thread. I also hope your night goes by fast so you can get the same hill out of Dodge and relax with a 3 day weekend (that I wish I had LOL) Next weekend is a 3 day weekend with it being Labor Day. So looking forward to that!!!! Hang in there and feel free to vent anytime!

I totally know what you're talking about. My turn to vent! I've been in banking for about 7 years. At two different banks, so I know my stuff. Anyway, we have an assistant manager that was hired with no banking experience. Her experience was....get this...a manager at a "short term loan" place. She was a friggin payday loan manager! Now, she's my assistant manager. I'm in new accounts, business accounts, home equity lending, and business lending. She's one of my bosses. It's really really hard for me to smile and take direction from her. When she gets off her butt and "tries" to manage. I think the manager hired her becuase they get along well and she wanted a lunch time buddy. She's been gone for a little while, so I've been doing alot of her duties. When she gets back next month, I'm NOT going to do her job anymore, so that way my manager can see how worthless she really is. I'm tired of covering up other peoples laziness and incompetence. If our branch suffers for it, so be it. The door will hit her in the butt that much quicker.

swedish - You can not hear me, but I am SCREAMING here! You're new "manager" is a former pdl manger? OMG! I swear to you, I don't know how you're doing it! I would have run screaming out the friggin bank door if my new "manager" was a former pdl manager. Oh, hell no! You poor, poor thing. To have to put up this "front" with this person. I'm tripping out. I swear, I would have walked! LOL! Screaming "OH, HELL, NO!" the whole way out!

HEHEHEHE! Cannr cracks me up!
I don't think I could have stayed with a PDL manager either, LOL! Anyway, while we're venting about work....my situation has not gotten any better either, still doing my job (a 40 hour job in a 32 hour position) as well as getting stuff dumped on my that the "NEW" HR Assistant can't handle to get done on time, EVER!!!! It really stinks!

Yeah...when they hired her, I had to ask a few times to make sure that I heard right. She always corrects me and says it was a "short term loan" place. When we were in training together for home equity lending, she had no idea what all of the lending compliance laws were. No idea what HMDA was or reg Z. Reg Z is the one where you have to disclose the rates and how much in fees there are, etc. Its nickname is "tell Z truth" Truth in lending regulation. It would figure she didn't know what it was, since those outfits are all a bunch of liers anyway. It's been nice not having her here for that reason, but I'm actually going to just sit back and watch everything fall apart and laugh when she gets back. All they need to do to make things rock around here is promote me to assistant. I've been doing banking for over 7 years!

Lmao Cannr. that is too funny.

I did have a great weekend :) Just went too fast  But looking forward to another 3 day weekend this coming weekend. I didn't get the chance to tell you all but my line leader had to do my job on Friday Lmao she told me that she hated me and that I couldn't take any more vacation time as long as I am on her line lol I told her too bad I already have some set up, and the best part is I am going to try and get this Friday off (not sure because there are already a ton of people off. But it would be funny if I did. I will hear about it all this afternoon on how my job sucks, but that won't change anything. I'm just gonna sit and laugh at her and tell her she has 5 more days to fill in for me lol

It just must be that time of year that jobs really suck right now. I am soory to hear that others are having problems at work also. But I could not sit back and smile at a pdl manager being my boss. I would have flipped out right away.

We need to stay strong and not let our co-workers get the best of us. We are a good bunch of people and if we stick together we all can over come our situations and not be like the rest of them, we will be the better person (or at least try lol)

Thanks for being here and letting me vent :)

There is actually a day (can't remember, but I will find out!) that is entitled "Slap your co-worker day". I kid you not! I personally think it should be a once a week thing.
P.S. - luke, you have my permission to slap your boss. Just tell him it's from me! :D

See? I was not kidding. National Slap Your Co-Worker Day is October 4th, so prepare! And this is the list of "guidelines". LOL!

You can only slap one person per hour - no more.
You can slap the same person again if they irritate you again in the same day.
You are allowed to hold someone down as other co-workers take their turns slapping the irritant.
No weapons are allowed...other than going upside somebody's head with a stapler, TPS report or a hole-puncher.
If questioned by a supervisor [or police, if the supervisor is the irritant], you are allowed to LIE, LIE, LIE!
Ladies, take the rings off when you go to slap.
Baby powder slaps are not only allowed, they are encouraged!

anthony, it does state that you can use a stapler or hole puncher! I'm assuming this wouldn't count as a slap! So just alternate! :D

Lmao cannr. ummmm...when you mean stapler can it be and air stapler? lol they are much heaver than the office ones. I use one all day long lol I could knock someone out with that. I am going to have to get my hand ready. But at least my line leader is getting fed up with the guy who is holding up the line. I think he is going to get fired, wooohoooo. Now I will only have to do MY work and not his. :)

LMAO Cannr  I think the whole line will be waiting to do that.

I put in for a vacation day for this Friday (thinking I wouldn't get it anyway but it didn't hurt to try) and my supervisor scared the shit outta me last night when he came to tell me. For me when someone scares me I am jumpy the rest of the day. So he kept on coming up behind me just so I would scream, then he would leave laughing :x But anyway I DID get off Friday night :D WooooHoooo. So I think I am going to have to slap HIM in Oct. lol. Tell him remember the night you scared me all night then "crack" lmao

puddle, first, I'm jealous you have Friday off! Second, on the National Slap Day - you don't have to have a reason! No need to remind him of anything! On October 4th, take the air stapler upside his head! LOL!

If I was allowed to slap people for stupid mistakes,I would run out of time to sleep! I have been in this oil field bit for 12 years now and have witnessed things that would either turn your hair white or cause it to lose it's roots. It will be interesting on the next job as a blowout causes extreme pressures below the surface that we will have to deal with.Let's just say the butt pucker factor will be HIGH!
