Hello everyone!

I'm finding this forum so very helpful in cleaning up my credit and want to first say thank you to everyone for such wonderful insight! :D

Now, I'm going to try to briefly explain my situation and hopefully I can get some feedback as to what I should do.

I pulled my reports and noticed that there are two entries from a credit card company with whom I had 2 credit cards. (short of the story is that they were stolen and a balance was disputed. refused to pay and closed the account)
Two entries above that is Arrow Financial Service which states within the description that they are "assignee of First Premier" (with whom I the stolen card with disputed amounts).

Now, last November i was served with a notice here at work of a pending garnishment for a judgement against me from this law firm. I moved and never received notification (certified mail) of the hearing so i was found in default naturally. Anyhow, upon getting the notice, i researched it and it was for the 2 credit cards that i disputed.

I paid the garnishment (obviously) and why doesn't the entries for First Premier and Arrow Financial show this as being paid? How do i get them to reflect that? I also do NOT have a civil judgement listed for the law firm that garnished my paycheck... lol, not that i'm complaining!

thanks everyone!

I did dispute on my credit report and the "Status Details" states as follows

"This account is scheduled to continue on record until May 2010.
This item was verfied and updated on Jun 2007"

Of course Arrow Financial does not have a number # listed on the report. Wonder if I could find online some where... hmm

Btw, thanks Bulldog for the response

Well I can share a technical way to resolve this if you have loads of time and patience to do it. The charges occurred during a theft of your credit.Go to www.ftc.gov and click on the id theft link.Follow the instructions closely and by the way that account should have never went to court. The lawyer owes you money because any collection on a disputed account especially a id theft account is illegal.

really?! i had the hardest time getting ahold of the law firm that sued me and garnished my wages. It took literally 50 min on hold just to get someone other then the receptionist!

Thank you and I will check into this. I have Capital One listed on my credit report also for the same situation. After I argued with the guy from India I finally told him where to go. It's so frustrating.

I will go to the website right now. I don't have much patience but I think i need to force myself this time. I want this resolved.

I have a question, my sister rec'vd a bill for a credit card that was mailed to her house( my husband use to use her address but no more). it was in my husbands name for $100.00 plus all their fees from first premier bank. it was not my husbands card so we disputed it and they bank is investigating. do you think they will find the person that used the card or is the amt too small to press charges?

They sent me "validation" yesterday with no amount listed and the name on all of the documents blacked out...haha. I called them to tell them this doesn't constitute validation and the guy said I have to talk to his Vice President, told me to hang on and yelled "Hey Willie?" to someone.

Good Lord!
