My husband receive the same info and they gave him his social number and our home address stating that he owed a outstanding debt. they want him to give a post dated check and he said no. They are trying to get in to peoples bank accounts and other personal pls WATCH OUT FOR THESE PEOPLE. THE FBI NEED TO INVESTIGATE!!!!

Ohhh!!! they can even do that...I can bet on it. These people know each and every trick to squeeze money out of you. They will call you hundred times, embarrass you by talking about your debt to your friends, colleagues and even boss. To make the matters worse, they will even threaten you with wage garnishment, seizure of property and even prison. Pleas somebody go and tell them that threatening consumers with actions that they do not even intend to take IS ALSO A VIOLATION OF fdcpa.

I am all about following the laws BUT what about follow the agreement you had with the creditor. This is the reason our economy is so bad because America went out and charged charged charged and now they cant pay pay pay! My sister did the same thing and guess what she was sued and a judgement was placed against her and now her $9 an hour job is being garnished 10% a week. The people that sued her was a collection agency that owned the account. So before you go and ignor the calls do your homework first otherwise you will be screwed like my sister.

and to you my fine friend-legal beagle-most CA's dont own the debt their trying to scam people out of money. And I personally hope you have everything you have ever worked your butt of for for years ripped away from you because of a little thing called a-sucky economy- that has caused people that have worked their hineys off and get laid off with no income coming in anymore-through NO FAULT of their own. Its called being a little compassion for those of us who have lost jobs or pay cut in half for no reason other than their employers want a bigger profit margin instead of giving desperate people jobs. I would lay my lie on the bet that most people who cant pay their bills right now paid their bills and never had problems before the economy went belly up. I personally know of about 4 dozen people that have lost EVERYTHING due to job loss and unable to find another job. I cant even get a freakin McDonalds to hire me for minimum wage-only way to get a job there is if your a teenager. So take that and stick it in your legal briefs, my friend
