If I get an address in Stae Z. and apply for a new credit card, will the new address in State Z. appear on my credit report, as my new residence?
If so, would the collection agency notice I moved and have a new SOL?

Why do you want to do that. Sounds like you are gambling with your future. First, wellcome to the site. The SOL are diffrent from state to state and for us to help you we need to know what state you are in. But what you are trying to do there, im sure you will not tell us anyway. You should be more concerned about getting out of debt instead of opening new cc account. just my thought
thanks

I don't want a new credit card. I imagine I will be turned down, infact. I just want to establish a new residence, in another state, so I won't be sued in the next year or so.

If you have a whole year ahead before this might happen, why move? You have all this time to make it right somehow. Right now you are on a site that can help you and point you into the right direction. So, start asking so we can start helping. List more info. for us, but no persoanl names or numbers.
thanks

My son got a credit card in another state where he lived for several years, then moved to another state . They will still ty to collect/ and or sue you. Just because you move doesn't mean they won't try to get their money, or that you owe them..Karen

with all due respect, please handle what you know to be your legitimate obligations. Trying to get out of the consequences of your dent is not what this place is about. We are glad to help, but only to help people the proper way, and looking to scheme to get out of your legitimate debts is not the proper way.

Normaly I don't answer these questions because it always makes me feel like someone is going out of their way to fish for information to get out of paying for something they took.
However since I am on vacation today and I am quite bored at the moment I will answer.
If you can afford to move to a completely different state for friviolous reasons then you can afford to pay your bill.
