I applied for a free consult from Credit Solutions . com, but when I submitted my info, I got the following message...

Quote:
Thank you for submitting your information.

However, under your state legislative guidelines we are unable to help you with your debt relief needs at this time.

To further assist you, we have referred your information to one of our affiliates. They will be able to provide you the help you need.

Credit Solutions of America, Inc.
15601 Dallas Parkway, Suite 700
Addison, TX 75001

What does that mean??
Anyone use Credit Solutions? What's your opinion?

Mmmm...maybe bacause they were not in the state where u reside? That's really strange. I thought you could do business with ANY 'debt comapny', no matter where you lived.

I don't think you have to reside in the state that they operate in. You need to check with the BBB on any company that you wish to hire.

Have you registered on this site for a free debt consultation? They can provide you with information and guidance on what to do. Just an idea.

Don't use credit solutions it is a complete ripoff. They take your money and provide no solution. You are stuck with court dates and more debt then you started with.

I paid Credit Solutions monthly fees for six months. I never got a single settlement offer. The collectors continued to call 5 to 15 times per day and nobody did anything to stop them. All they did was take my money and got nothing in return. Credit Solutions is a scam. You'd be better off to take that money and pay at least some of your creditors.

Be thankful that you are can not go with credit solutions. I am enrolled right now but 2 of my accounts went were going to go to court so I ended up having to set up a payment plan with them. Unforunately, this was very costly to me. I have learned a very hard lesson.

I went with credit solutions because I took out a car loan for my brother who ended up getting the car reposessed. Credit Solutions gave me a false sense of assurance and hope. They advise for the client not to have any contact with companies you owe money to. I see why, because they don't want us to know they are not doing anything.I canceled my account with them, had to pay attorney fees and am now dealing with an attorney, whom my debt went to, which ended up more costly than the previous balance. FYI: For car repo's do not deal with companies like Credit Solutions. The lawyer advised against anyone to deal with these type of companies especially in a situation like mine.

Be thankful you can not deal with Credit Solutions. I agree with what everyone says. Also, if you cancel with them and the try to tell you that you need to still pay fees - fight it. They tried to tell me I still owed over $2,000 after they were unable to settle my accounts. I had to file a complaint.

Do your homework before you sign up with any company. Credit Solutions will get you into a worse mess than you started with.

To anyone who is thinking about credit solutions... Don't...They are the worst company ever, they lure you in and tell you everything you need to hear when your in a pinch but they never come through. YOur supposed to get monthly phone calls, I got zero. They claimed I would settle my 20k in debt for around 8k, fact is I've paid 9k just for two of the cards. I guess that's what I get for trusting someone else. I was taken to court and they told me not to worry. These people are evil and this company should not be allowed to exist. Thanks for ruining my credit and making my life worse. May God have mercy on all of you.

I enrolled int heir program and aside from taking their monthly fee, they have done nothing for me!
I had a settlement offer on a card at a really great discount, I called credit solutions, because they told me that is what I have to do, and they blew the deal for me. They wanted me to give the creditor a down payment, and I said I would pay it off in 48 hours by certified check, and they weren't able to finalize the deal...

Anyway, how do I go about cancelling my contract with them at this stage? Where do I file the complaint?

How news 4 reccommended these people is beyone me

Thanks for any assistance

Credit solutions has over 1200 complaints with the BBB. Creditsolutions.com is Credit Solutions of America, Inc. Look them up on the BBB your self. I have worked in the settlement industry for years and its company's like that give this industry a bad name. I would say probably 80 % of settlement company's are a rip and please always check them out with the BBB.

I went through a divorce....bills up the butt because of it. They said they would help.....yeah right. Anyway, I paid for the monthly service. No offers, I called and said I want out, well you can not just cancel your account you have to talk to somebody. I fell for the promise of give us a chance, but when I finally got an offer of 1800 on one account and the same CC company offer me 985...I knew then something was up. Anyway, I just told them I was refinancing my mortgage and was paying all my cards. They let me out, but not without taking half of the money I put into the so called help saving account. I could have used that money to pay off a card or two. They are lairs and scammers. They take advantage of your stressful situation.
