Clear debt solutions
Date: Wed, 08/29/2007 - 07:10
Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and was hoping I could get some advice.
I signed up with clear debt solutions to help me out with some overwhelming credit card debt that was the result of a job that didn't pay enough as it promised so I couldn't keep up with the bills that kept coming in. I've only been in the program for about 8 months but have just been served my first court summons for Chase bank. I have a lot of money in my IRA account but wanted to know if there was some kind of hardship waiver so they don't take the 10% out for early withdrawal. Also I live in Illinois so there are other early state withdrawal fees but am having trouble finding them. I would like to just cash out the ira and pay off all of my debts and be done with this mess and I understand the consequences of doing it in regards to my future retirement, just want to know the best way to do it.
Any help that you guys can provide would be great!

Contact the holder of your IRA. They should be able to provide you with all the info you require. I got slammed by the IRS when I did that but it was worth it to get the bills paid. Some plans do have hardship clauses from what I have heard.
