I have a few minor debts, 1 CC, old cell phone bill, old cable bill, Dell laptop. All in default, I hit a bad slump a few years back with no job and now I am looking to clean up my credit and resolve the unpaid items. Can anyone recommend what I should do? I figure going with debt consolidation to get all my debts rolled into one easy payment right? Any reputable companies here in California? Thanks for any help in advance!

You will have to beome a registered member before you can request the credit consultation. Both are free and very easy to do, please join us.

There is also a Ranking Chart tab at the top of your screed that gives consolidation companies state by state.

Before you decide to go with a company, please check them out with the BBB and others who have used them successfully. Make sure they will send you correspondence or statements as to who they are paying and what, and be clear about everything before you sign.

Someone from your area will contact you and discuss options you may have regarding your debt.

What type of balances on these debts do you have? If they are all rather small, you may want to check out the DO it Yourself section also..Good Luck..KAren

Well I have become a registered member, I think that is what is allowing me to post right?

I am thinking my total Debts are around 15k with late fee etc... though DIY sounds good, I would rather find someone trustworthy and get it all taken care of. There is a reason they are experts in there field, I just don't have the time. Sounds lazy, but one monthly payment works for me.

Thanks for the advice, if anyone in CA can recommend anything please let me know.

EDIT: Oppps. I must have been logged in as a guest, damadhatter=icehckyplyr22, I guess I wasn't fully logged in, I usually go by either name on forums. Sorry for the confusion

You can post whether you are a member or not. If you signed up for the credit counseling, someone from your area will contact you in regards to your debt.

Before you go with any company, check them out with the BBB, and others who have used them successfully. Also be clear about what fees that they charge, and any other fees that may come up..Good Luck..Karen
