You can go for credit counseling. As you are under unmanageable debt, it is advisable for you to seek some professional help. There are many credit counseling agencies that are advertised as "non profit" organizations. BEWARE of them!!!!Majority of them are fraudulent companies.

There is no quick fix for this, but with time and effort it can be done, if you have the means to pay these off.

If worse comes to worse and you find yourself not able to pay, even if you do settlement, you may have to consider bankruptcy, but check out the other options first and see if something can be worked out.
If you choose to go with a consolidation company, please check them out, and also make sure they explain any and all fees to you. Keep us posted on your progress, and feel free to ask questions..Karen

Thanks for the words. It feels quite hopeless now. I have been told bankruptcy is the best option. I don't care if it takes 7-10 years to pay this off but I want light at the end of the tunnel without filing bankruptcy. I have no idea if that is possible at this point.

We have resigned ourselves to the fact that our credit is going to the crapper. We have always had very good credit but we simply can't pay these bills any longer. I guess it will be quite the ride!
