Can this company call on a holiday? I received about 4 calls from them yesterday (Labor Day). I thought it was illegal for them to contact you on a holiday.

Ughh...my former company contemplated having people work on Thanksgiving (or at least the day after)...who the #$%@ wants to call up debtors on a day like that? The only purpose I believe that would accomplish would be to piss off several thousand people, and IMO, only Christmas could be worse.

Sundays are fair game, too (unless a state law restricts it, but those are pretty few).

4 collection calls regarding the same debt in one day...were these made to different numbers, or the same?

Also, did you speak with them at all? If so, when?

It would be a good idea to study up on the fdcpa, and your state laws, since you are a bit misinformed...people do spread a lot of bad info around. Just as an example, a surprisingly large amount think that if a bank makes an error in your favor, you get to keep the money...
